3rd Person POV -
IN AN ARMY CITY :-
Diana and Steve reached this place just now. Diana has covered herself with a coat and Steve was walking with her. They both were on the road. Diana was looking all around at the state of People.
While some people were walking with good and beautiful clothes which screams of richness but most of the people were wearing rags that can only cover them. Hunger and helplessness can be seen from them.
Diana was looking every thing around her. Steve who was walking with her said,''It's quite depressing isn't it? Looking this kind of condition. All this is caused by this dammed war. Home of many of them is destroyed and they were left with nothing. ''
Diana said,'' War is always this hard. Kings and ministers wage war, Soldiers dies and peoples suffer. Percy always says that, ' There is no winner in war only dammed.' And looking at this I find it quite true.''
Steve said, '' This Percy must be someone very intelligent. He always tells you something of very importance.''
Diana said,'' I don't know what to say about him. He is just different. ''
Steve asked, '' Different How?''
Diana stopped walking and thought for a while then she said,'' He is Powerful no doubt about that. But the thing that I like most about him is his confidence.
He believes in himself and always tells others to face there problem rather then running from it because you can not run forever one day you have to stop and then you will find that problem is in front of you with its full force. So in the end you will find that you have not solved your problem just delayed it. And in the end you have to face it so why waste time.
And he is just like that. Never afraid, never hesitate. Its like nothing in the world can shake him. I don't know what but there is something about him that encourages peoples to follow him.''
Steve looked at Diana who was passionately talking about someone else. He felt somewhat uncomfortable. He asked,'' If he is this powerful then why he is not with you here? Why he does not fight with this Ares of yours? He left you here alone in place you know no one and nothing about.''
Diana did not found anything wrong in his voice. She just simply replied, '' This is my quest. My destiny. I was born to fight against Ares. Perseus has trained me for years just to fight him. So I have to do this and I want to do this.
And about Ares. I do not know why but he never took Ares as a real challange. He is just that confidence. ''
Steve said,'' Sounds to me as he is over confident and Prideful. ''
Diana said,,'' You can also say that. There is some arrogance, over confidence and pride in him. That's what he truly is.''
Steve saw that the subject is turning towards the Percy more and more and try to change it. He said,'' All this suffering must be new to you.''. He said while gesturing towards all the poor and hungry people.
Diana said,'' It is the first time I am seeing all this thing but He told me that suffering is the part of human life and everyone has there own problem and they have to fight it alone. So I was ready for it before I left but it is just more then what I expected. ''
Steve again tried to change the subject when he saw that the conversation is back towards that Percy. He asked,'' And who is this Ares you were talking about? If I remember something like the God of war.''
Diana said,'' Ares is the son of Zeus and Hera. They are the King and Queen of the Greek Pantheon. At least they were supposed to be. Ares is the God Of War.
About thousand years ago when the Gods were around and Ares was on the Peak of his power he got mad with power. Power had gotten on his head. He declared War on the other Olympians in the hope that he can take control of the entire olympus.
But he knew that even with all his power he was no match for the Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. The big trinity of the Greek Pantheon. They can easily defeat him.
So he devised a plan and brought out a very powerful poison from the depths of Tartrus. It can weaken the God. So you know the end result he fought and defeated Zeus and Hades.
And here we are.''
Steve asked,'' and What of Poseidon?''
Diana said,'' Poseidon knew that after them Ares will kill everyone on Olympus to make erase every competition for the throne so he used his life force as a battery and sealed the Olympus so no one can enter or leave that place. But in doing so he perished.''
Steve then asked,'' If those three can not defeat Ares then why do you think you can? You are just a normal human. May be a bit more powerful and trained but still you are not much mere powerful then a human. Then how can you defeat Ares? ''
Diana said,'' Because I am not a normal Amazon. I am different from them. I am only half Amazon from my mother's side.''
Steve asked,''And what of your other half part? What is it?''
Diana finally stopped and looked into his eyes. She said, '' I am half God.''
Steve who was mesmerized by the story don't even know if he should laugh or not. He just asked, '' Are you kidding me?''
Diana said,'' No I am not. I am a half God. Or what you call it a Demi god. I am also the half sister of Ares. My father is Zeus- the God of Sky. And that is the reason Percy trained me so hard. Because I can kill the GOD OF WAR. ''
