During a break between lessons, Alex found himself sitting by a fountain in the Citadels garden. He watched as other trainees chatted and practiced their spells. Liora, with her vibrant red hair and infectious energy, approached him with a friendly smile.
"Mind if i join you?" She asked.
Alex nodded, grateful for the company. "Sure."
Liora sat beside him, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "So, what do you think of all this? Pretty wild, huh?"
"Wild doesn't even begin to cover it," Alex admitted with a laugh. "I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything."
"Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it," Liora said, patting his shoulder. "It helps to have friends along the way. How about we practice together? I could use a partner."
They spent the afternoon practicing spells, sharing stories, and laughing at their mistakes. Alex felt a sense of camaraderie and belonging, his confidence growing with each successful spell.
