Chapter 27 - Bloody Hill

The sun was lowering on the west hill, and everyone appeared to be enjoying slaughtering the beast for points until the sun unintentionally bids farewell to the hills. Every other creature becomes hushed, afraid and wary. Each of them proceeded to their respective hideout, while the enormous insects with long sharp pointed suckers like a sword lay in wait. They easily slither out of the tunnel and into the trees, making no sound.

The vampire bats' territory is located on the mountain summit. They are calmly studying everything that happens in the mountains, wondering why other vampire bats are still flying above as the boss gathers them. Their boss was the largest of the bunch. It has huge bat wings that measure three meters apiece. They are squating on the mountains like children and they set on branches of tress not on an upsidedown position since they are not ordinary bats but are mutated and evolve vampire bats. Their teeth's are sharp like wolves and claws like of a lion. Thier wings have 6 pointed like bones that are also sharp. They are hungry and angry since heroes have thier mother killed and wounded thier father on the previous day who was also the leader of the group.

Null's group had finally reached the lake. They have not yet killed a single beast, therefore all of their points are still 0.

"Are we here for some night swimming? Are you certain about this? "If I foot on the water, I am scared it will turn into ice," Lucky Zero lamented.

"If you have the means to survive above the lake, you may stay here, while the remainder will hide at the bottom," Null stated.

"Hide at the bottom? "Is it truly safe?" Vanessa asks.

"Of course, you must trust in my brother." Lucky Zero soothed her, carassing her back, but she pushed him away.

"I will stay here on the side and wait for you. Stickman responded, "I am not frightened of bugs anyway."

As soon as Null stepped onto the shallow portion of the lake, all of the water around him vanished, and as soon as he moved, the water departed from him. These astound everyone.

"The mosquitoes' piercing voices can injure you, so Bubblegum give Lucky Zero and Stickman part of your gums to protect their ears," Null instructed.

Bubblegum did as Null ordered, but as soon as Lucky Zero received the gum, he chewed it.

"What?" Bubblegum was baffled.

Vanessa squeezed his ear, saying, "Idiot! That is for your hearing protection."

Lucky Zero shook his head and replied, "I do not need it, you see." He then freezes his ears.

They stop talking when they looked at Bubbles Down while she walk on the shallow lake. Bubbles continue to emerge from her feet, irrepressible. She was like a soap.

"Can you stop that?" asked Null.

"I have no control over it. This occurs whenever I take a bath. It is rather bothersome, if you know what I mean." She replied sheepishly.

Null remembered Bubbles Up. "Does she also have this issue? "Perhaps she was able to control it," Null pondered.

When Susan walks into the water, it freezes and she collapses, startling everyone.

"Didn't she said it's air, why did she frooze the waters?" Asks Lucky Zero.

But suddenly an electric volt from Susan's body impacts the water, followed by a swirling wind, though it was modest. Lucky Zero deflected those strikes. They noticed Susan's body floating and her eyes blazing white. There are volts of lightning around her, and white and black mist forms.

"It is an awakening!" Null cried.

"Do you imply she has not really awakened?" Lucky Zero inquired.

"Thunder, wind, and water." Vanessa was astounded to learn that she has three components in total.

"Ahhhhhhh!" Susan yelled as lightning struck the lake again. Susan's unconscious body fell into the shallow portion of the lake.

"So, what is the plan now? "Asks Lucky Zero."

"We can not leave her like this; perhaps we will all have to stay by the lake for the time being," Null suggested.

They soon heard cries and shouts from the distance.

"It has begun," Null mumbled.

Mitsu and his squad were trekking through the forest, seeking for a secure location to relax and sleep, when they heard shouts and cries.

"Help!"

"I do not want to die."

"Noooo!"

"Please save me!"

These were the shouts they heard.

"Everybody, let us help them!" She issued a command.

The group hurriedly run to where the shouts are but soon they were being chase by giant mosquitoes.

"It is a trap!" Cried Luna, one of her members. He wields a big curved sword known as the moonblade. He sliced one of the huge mosquitos that surrounded him, severing it in two. He does not have time for the points since thousands of insects are hunting them.

"Let us slaughter everyone!" Mitsu commanded.

They discovered that the mosquitos had ambushed one party, leaving no survivors behind.

"Damn it, insects!" Said the Goddess Butterfly.

She launched a swarm of butterflies that glow in the dark and attack huge mosquitos, tearing their bodies apart. Their blood was strewn across the trees when those little golden insects pierced them.

Mitsu was assaulting one big mosquito after another as she maneuvered on the tree branches, slashing, slicing, and stabbing them with her curve knives without fear. This lifted his fellow members' spirits, and they banded together to assault.

Damon and his friends had already erected the tenth and were relaxing when they heard the commotions. Everyone came out of their tent, wondering what had occurred.

Someone ran into them. He seems worn and scared.

"Please help me!" He cried.

But as soon as he emerged, mosquitoes were already swarming Damon's tent. Thousands of mosquitos surrounded them.

The candidate became despondent when he realized that their tent was also surrounded by huge mosquitoes, so he stabbed his chest with his own knife and died. This causes Damon's members' spirits to plummet, and they panic. One want to return to the center and seek assistance, so he flies, but before he can get 10 meters, he is attacked by two vampire bats. He was bitten and scraped, causing his body to divide into two.

The other vampire bat ate his head before stealing his body and legs.

"Ahhhh!" Damon yelled with frustration. His comrades' spirits plummet to the point that they have no idea what to do, so they fly away from their camp. They were attacked by vampire bats, who grabbed each of them and ripped their limbs and abdomens off. Damon was the only survivor. He flew to the trees, but the mosquitoes gave up after him since they were also scared of the vampire bats.

"Have you heard that?" Asked Dynamo to his member named Sorry.

"Hear what?" Sorry asked.

The members of the group listened intently to the sounds of the peaceful night and began to hear noises of someone calling for assistance. It was far away, so it was not clear, and it simply echoed across the hills, so they could not comprehend it.

Dynamo touched the earth, increasing his sensory experience to a radius of one kilometer.

"Everyone be ready," he instructed.

"Something is moving in the jungle, and there are thousands of them around our camp. I am not sure what they are, but this is not a good sign," he added.

"The points simply keep coming and will not let us rest," Origor remarked.

Origor has massive muscles and a gigantic turso. His arms were large as well, but his legs were little. He is bald but has a lovely face. He is wearing a huge straw hat. He held both of his arms before clasping his fists together.

"I am always prepared to fight," he stated.

"Just wait a moment and let them make their initial move," Dynamo said.

He then made a gesture toward one of his members, but she did not understand what he meant.

"Calibur-X, transform yourself into a sword right now!" Commanded Dynamo.

"W-what, r-right now?" Calibur-X, who was humiliated, spoke up.

"Yes, it is time to establish your value," Dynamo said.

Then Calibur-X changed into a sword. It was standing directly in front of Dynamo, so he grabbed it.

"Nice sword," he commented.

Then they heard a piercing noise, which caused them to become disoriented and damaged their ears.

"Shit! "What type of noise is this?" Asked Origor.

Calibur-X broke free from Dynamo's grip and soared right to the source of the sound, slashing and cutting them all viciously.

"Sorry," said Sorry. He stated this since his skills are useless in this combat. "It is not effective on mosquitos," he muttered, feeling sorry for himself.

Dynamo dashes for the mosquitoes and fights hundreds of them, knocking and punching them all. They lack the ability to resist.

Sorry, being the weakest among them caught the attention of those gigantic insects, who surrounded and attacked him from the start. Origor saw it and sprang in front of Sorry, blocking their blows. He shattered them one at a time. Mosquitoes are only a B category predator, yet they have evolved and transformed into lesser opponents that are nonetheless harmful to humans.

"Thank you," he told Origor.

Origor did not heed him and turned around, saying, "Do you think I did not realize I was under your influence or something?"

"Sorry!" said Sorry.

"I am being pushed off! "You bitch, leave me alone!" Cried Queen Bee.

She was surrounded by gigantic mosquitoes that wanted to taste her blood and puncture her with their suckers, but she managed to avoid them all.

When she becomes angry, her body is possessed by a shimmering golden light, which causes a rise that links to all of the mosquitoes within her range, transforming them into huge bees.

"I command you, as your queen, to exterminate the mosquitos!" The Queen Bee commanded. Now, the enormous bees are assaulting the giant mosquitos, ripping and stabbing each other. Unfortunately, she only produced 10 enormous bees, and the mosquitoes eventually killed them all.

Queen Bee became enraged and used her umbrella as a weapon. She shoots it, and hundreds of tiny toxic needles prick the targeted huge insects, killing them.

The other members who were still terrified witnessed her talent and bravery and were inspired, and she became their role model.

"We are not terrified, right?" Asked Jembo.

"No, we are not; we will battle these creatures and live," the other members said.

Just as they were about to strike, a level A+giant mosquito stabs all four of them. Their blood dripped over the ground as the bodies of the four members hung from the mosquito's sucker.

Jembo collapsed to the ground, shaking in shock and dread. The mosquito who led their gang shook its sucker and threw the four lifeless victims away. It landed among groups of gigantic mosquitoes, who promptly devoured those bodies. The candidates are rendered helpless as they observe what has occurred.

"Fuck it!" Dynamo mumbled, clenching his teeth in rage, as the mosquitoe leader made a shrill sound like it was laughing at them and hid behind the other gigantic insects that protected their master.

Dynamo, fight those mosquitos, striking and kicking each one. Each punch causes the mosquito's body to burst. But there are still a lot of mosquitoes around them.

"Let us assist our commander defeat those beasts," Sorry said.

Calibur-X transformed back into a sword and flew straight into Dynamo's hands. Now he chops them smoothly, and it was a simple assignment, but Dynamo is looking for the A+ mosquito leader.

"It appears that your commander is a chicken," Dynamo sadly stated.

As the night progresses, more and more teams are ambushed, slain, and eaten by those massive mosquitos. There will be a lot of screams, and people will see them all online. They were appalled, particularly the Hunter's Association, after seeing the carnage. They do not want to see this happen, but they can not do anything about it.

If they can save such prospects, however this position is backed by the gods.
