Chapter 116 - Chapter 116: Tom – Is There No One Speaking Up for Me?

Robert pushed open the dormitory door, holding a cat in his arms.

Since it was already nine o'clock in the evening, everyone was in the dormitory.

"What is this?" Tom asked, frowning.

The cat huddled up in Robert's arms, so from a distance, it looked like a small furry ball.

"A thing? How can you say that, Tom?"

Robert picked up the cat and showed it to everyone.

"I picked up a cat, family. It wanted to go home with me! So I brought it along."

The cat lazily glanced at the people in the dormitory, then turned its head away with disdain.

None of these guys can be as powerful as their master!

Suddenly, the cat jumped out of Robert's arms, its fur standing on end, and it breathed in Tom's direction.

Robert was a little surprised. Could it be that these two Toms had to fight upon their first meeting?

Tom also looked at the cat in surprise.

He didn't understand why this creature was so hostile toward him.

Suddenly, Nagini raised her head from the bedside table next to Tom.

"Hiss, hiss, hiss... (This is a Kneazle)."

Then Tom finally understood—the cat's enemy was not him, but Nagini.

Wait, a Kneazle?!

Tom glared at Robert. Was this guy insane?

Bringing a Kneazle back to the dorm?

It was very aggressive! It was totally against the Ministry of Magic's regulations…

Alas… Tom sighed.

It would be strange if a guy like Robert actually followed the rules.

Well, let alone the second brother, Tom himself was certainly no law-abiding wizard either.

"Relax, Tom. That's not an enemy. Her name is Nagini, and she won't hurt us," Robert said, squatting down and touching "Tom's" head.

Tom looked puzzled. How did this guy know that he was tense just now?

After Robert's comforting words, "Tom" finally calmed down.

Robert brought the cat to his bedside and used Transfiguration to turn a pile of snack wrappers and other trash into a beautiful and cozy nest.

"Come, Tom, have some dried fish," Robert said with a smile.

"I don't eat dried fish..." Tom started to reply but suddenly felt something was off.

He stared wide-eyed as he watched Robert feed the cat dried fish.

"Wait… you didn't name that cat Tom, did you?"

"Yes, its name is Tom, and your name is Tom too. You two should get along well in the future," Robert said cheerfully.

"I..." Tom had a lot of curse words in his mind, but he didn't dare to say them out loud. They all stayed in his heart.

Get along well?

If this thing wasn't a Kneazle, maybe. But it was, and it was raised by that bastard Robert!

I'll hang it from the rafters tonight!

"Hey! This cat is quite smart!" Henry said in surprise.

He didn't know it was a Kneazle. He only saw that under Robert's "persuasion," it had completely stopped its aggressive stance.

Naturally, he assumed this was an exceptionally intelligent cat.

"Yeah! How clever! Where on earth did you pick it up?"

Alphard took out a bunch of snacks from his cabinet and placed them in front of the Kneazle.

The Kneazle didn't refuse the tribute from Alphard, its "slave."

It nestled comfortably in its new nest and happily ate the "offerings."

"I was strolling along the edge of the Black Lake this evening, and I ran into it. Oh, there was nothing I could do—it had to follow me home," Robert said with a smile.

At this moment, Tom stood there speechlessly, watching these guys teasing the cat.

No, isn't that the point?

The point is that bastard Robert gave his cat the same name as mine!

Is there anyone who will speak up for me?

Does having an ordinary name mean I have no human rights at all?!

In a Dream

Robert had just finished telling his senior about his research and ideas.

The senior was silent for a long while before she said, "I have never thought about what would happen if I controlled the amount of emotions in this 'residue'... And I am really surprised that you have studied the 'residue' to this extent."

"It seems that the situation is still optimistic. After the adjustment, the negative effects of the 'residues' will not be reduced immediately, but the impact of positive emotions on people is far less than that of negative emotions," Robert said with a smile.

"But..." Robert looked troubled again. "This is just a study on improving the existing 'residues.' As for the 'residues' in your body... Although I have some ideas now, with my current ability, I can't do it yet."

The senior student smiled. "It's amazing that you can even improve this power. I remember you mentioned before that you wanted to make something similar to my cloak to store the 'residues' in my body."

"Yeah... Now, what I can be sure of is that I can't achieve this with my ancient magic alone. Therefore, I may have to rely on alchemy. As far as I know, fairy metal can be used as material, but... I don't know much about alchemy, especially the kind fairies excel at." Robert looked a little helpless.

He might be able to use his strong learning ability to grasp a bit of alchemy in a short time, but... fairy metal was a closely guarded secret among fairies.

With human wizardry, it would take too much time to recreate something like fairy metal, and he couldn't afford to wait that long.

The senior suddenly smiled again. "Actually, I should be able to do it."

"You have the ability to do it?" Robert suddenly perked up. "Yes... yes!"

Although he couldn't do it, his senior's knowledge far surpassed his. It wasn't surprising that she could.

She smiled again. "Besides, regarding the fairy metal matter, our chance has come."

"What chance?"

"I was bored these days, and when my consciousness was floating in the Forbidden Forest, I discovered new fairies had arrived. And… judging from their names, the leader of this team is a very powerful fairy craftsman…"

Robert's interest was immediately piqued.

"A fairy craftsman? Don't you want to sleep? Bring me a pillow?"

Robert became excited. Of course, fairy craftsmen were best at making alchemical tools using fairy metals.

"Tell me the location, and I'll go and capture him tomorrow night. Then I'll use the Imperius Curse or something to control him and make him help me build things… Though it may take some time for me to master their knowledge…"

The senior shook her head. "All you have to do is capture him. Leave the rest to me."

"Uh... oh, right... I forgot again." Robert sighed helplessly.

"Don't worry. Just leave it to me. I can't just watch you work hard for me while I do nothing." She smiled. "I have nothing to do every day anyway… Besides, after your reminder, I have a lot of ideas for experiments..."

Robert agreed without hesitation.

He suddenly realized how shallow his magical knowledge truly was.

The past was already a thing of the past. Coming to this world meant starting all over again.

He needed to arm himself with knowledge—quickly.
