Two days have finally passed and Vincent still hasn't heard from Jae Won's Secretary for their reschedule. As he had thought already, he was going to take the matter into his own hands by providing every means to meet up with Jae Won.
Now that he was familiar with the Korean won, he thought of an idea. He came out of the room only to meet Akwasi on top of Seung Jo with their face a little inch away from kissing.
Vincent, "....."
They all turned to Vincent's direction from the sound of the door opening only to see the look on his face did they realized the position they were in. Akwasi quickly got off Seung Jo and cleared his throat.
"It's not what you think. I'm just trying to take my snack away from him and he wouldn't let me.." explained Akwasi.
Vincent smiled because he knows how Akwasi couldn't cheat on his girl. For the past five years, he met with this mysterious girl Akwasi was dating. And she was a lovely lady to be cheated on.
"No need to explain, besides it's your life" replied Vincent trying to pull his legs. "But I have a girlfriend" said Akwasi as he shot a glare at Seung Jo who was still lying on the couch but all he gave was a smirk and said "you do smell nice."
"And you don't you ever go to work?" asked Vincent making his smirk vanished instantly. Akwasi turned to Seung Jo as what Vincent said made sense. They have been here for two weeks now and he doesn't go to work.
"I do go to work but not often" replied Seung Jo now sitting straight on the couch. This got Akwasi making use of his wild imagination.
"And how do you afford this place, we met you as taxi driver even though we are not sure how much you make but this is huge."
"Wait, are you some kind of rich heir throwing tantrums of not taking over the family business because you want to be a taxi driver?" said Akwasi.
Seung Jo burst out laughing so hard tears formed in his eyes and was about to stroll down his cheeks "you really have a wild imagination or are you a fan of kdrama?"
Akwasi shook his head and pointed at Vincent "he is a fan of kdrama" he said while Vincent began to walk towards the door and before he could open the door a voice cut through the room "where are you going?"
"Just taking a stroll and you don't have to follow me I will know my way around" said Vincent as he already knew who asked that question.
He stepped out of the apartment and walked down a litle bit and when he was sure he was not followed he hailed a taxi.
As he sat down he said "take me to Osung Group" in Korean. The taxi driver who didn't even want to stop when he saw Vincent because he thought Vincent was definitely be speaking English to him.
But the taxi driver was surprised as he smiled widely that reached his eyes. "You can speak Korean?" asked the driver and that was the beginning of their conversation.
They talked throughout the drive which was about family, love, everything. The driver wanted to take Vincent's contact just because Vincent was mature and was good at communicating with older people.
The driver didn't want to take no for an answer so Vincent had no choice but give out both numbers, the one he used in this country and the one he would use if he goes to back his country.
The driver smiled widely as though he was gifted golds to fill his back seat. Vincent smiled back at him as he got down from the car. They waved their goodbyes as the driver drove off with smiles still plastered on his face.
Since Vincent wasn't on any official business he had to stay inside a cafe in front of the company.
"Welcome, have a seat here" said the barista pointing at a seat. Vincent shook his head making the barista confused. He scanned the place and found where he wanted and walked straight to that seat.
The barista who was being nice, "...…"
Vincent was not being rude to the barista, but he wanted a seat that could allow him to see whatever that was happening in front of Osung Group.
After he sat down and gave out a deep breath did he realize the barista stood there like a statue. He gave a beautiful smile that sent butterflies to the female barista.
"I'm sorry if I'm being rude, I just wanted to face that building" explained Vincent in Korean sending shivers down down her spine not in a scared manner but the ones that made her body went numb.
Luckily she had stamina to withstand any emotional breakdown that comes her way. The black man in front of her was speaking Korean, she wanted to brag about being able to speak English more than her coworkers.
The moment they saw him entered, she shows no hesitation when her colleague pushed her forward to serve him only to be met with a man who not only speak Korean but spoke fluently like a native.
Vincent sat for a few seconds without getting a reply back. He didn't think much of it since the only people he had revealed his not so secret to turned out to be more surprised so he sat comfortably to wait for her to come back to earth.
Vincent was staring at the building when suddenly someone sat in front of him. Vincent directed his gaze to the person only to meet the barista's sparkling gaze.
"You know how to speak Korean?" asked the curious barista whose face lit up as though she had been gifted something valuable.
Vincent nodded and her smile increased again. She was so curious she asked a lot of question which Vincent replied while he kept glancing at the building.
The barista noticed about to ask when the manager of the cafe voice interrupted her "shouldn't you be working?" the barista looked up and quickly stood up.
She took his orders and in a few minutes his order was brought to him. Vincent smiled at him making her melt.
While Vincent was sipping his coffee he was looking at the building that held the most important person in his life.
An hour later, the barista approached him if he wanted to order more coffee which he nodded since it's going to be along day for him.
The barista brought the coffee and sat in front of Vincent again but Vincent's gaze was still on the building which the barista turned again to her back.
"Are you waiting for someone?" asked the barista as she folded her arms across her chest. Vincent's gaze directed towards her and gave a soft smile.
Vincent shook his head indicating he wasn't waiting for anyone but the barista knew he wasn't telling the truth. She understood since they just met.
"Do you know the vice Chairman of this company?" Vincent asked making the barista pushed the chair forward like she was about to whisper in his ears.
Vincent chuckled as the reaction he got was funny. "I haven't seen him physically but from only the internet." replied the barista.
"You work just across the company and you haven't seen him yet" asked confused Vincent. It's possible since he hardly come out when sets his foot inside the building and even when he do comes out, there is always a car parked in front of the building and with just a few steps he would already be seated in the car so people hardly sees him.
"I heard he has a beautiful fiancé and that they….."
"Clatter, Clatter"
That's the sound that interrupted the barista from ending her sentence. Vincent who just wanted to take a second look at his boyfriend never expected to hear such a thing that will make his hand go numb and end up letting go of the cup he was holding.
"I'm so sorry, let me j…." Vincent was about to pick up the broken ceramic cup when he was interrupted.
"Stop, I will do it myself" said the barista but Vincent sat there montionless like a statue. Is that the reason why he had been ignoring him leaving his message read.
Did he make the right decision by coming to Korea to spend this three months. If what the barista said was true then coming here was just a waste of time since he had already made his choice.
That was the thought that was running through his mind. The barista came back sweeping off the broken glasses and saw Vincent motionless body.
She gently tapped him bringing him back to the surface of the earth. As he came back from his trance, he noticed movement in his peripheral view that's when he directed his focus on the building he was spying.
He saw Secretary Kim rushing to open the door for someone. With the person head poking out of the car did he noticed it was Jae Won.
He saw Jae Won was about to enter when he stopped in his tracks and in a few seconds, he placed a phone to his ear to receive a call.
It seems luck was in his side today.
