"Your good days are still ahead of you."
The golden liquid in the hands of the God King of Destruction was the strand of divine consciousness belonging to Tang San—only the awareness within it had been destroyed by the power of Destruction.
"Collect."
At his command, an invisible, transparent barrier within the spring condensed and shrank, falling neatly into his palm.
Since he had said he was fully prepared, naturally he would not allow Tang San's strand of divine consciousness to escape. Otherwise, where would his dignity as the God King of Destruction go?
And the battle that had just occurred between him and Tang San had been perfectly sealed off by that barrier. Not a trace of aura leaked out— even the surface of the spring remained perfectly calm.
Otherwise, the aftermath alone would have been enough to turn the Ice-Fire Yin Yang Well upside down.
The God King of Destruction put away the golden liquid formed from Tang San's divine sense and lifted his scarlet eyes, looking through the spring water upward—more precisely, looking toward Jiang Jue.
"Hm? This brat actually carries such enormous Douluo fate energy…and quite a few secrets as well. Truly an anomaly—no wonder Tang San wanted to make a move on him."
The God King of Destruction murmured.
"But the way he blasted that useless little manual from Tang San away earlier…now THAT pleased my heart."
As for whether Jiang Jue was an anomaly—it mattered little to him. He was one of the oldest gods in the God Realm. Across countless years, he had witnessed too many things.
Light and righteousness, darkness and evil— to him, they were simply different forms of power.
"No rush. Let me watch a little longer."
He withdrew his gaze from Jiang Jue, thinking silently.
"But Tang San truly is an ungrateful wretch, actually wanting his father to seize control of the will of the Douluo plane—an utter beast."
His ten fingers clenched slightly, his expression darkening. If not for the nurturing of the Douluo Plane back then, how could Tang San have become a God King?
Yet instead of gratitude, he planned to seize the plane's will for himself—utter scum.
"No hurry. We'll take it slow. Tang San, this time I will make sure all your efforts go to waste!"
"Boy, since you did well just now, I'll leave you something good."
The God King of Destruction cast one final deep look at Jiang Jue. A streak of violet light shot from his hand toward Jiang Jue, and the god himself vanished.
"Grandpa Yi, you say those two divine senses fought, and now only one remains?"
"If my perception is correct, that's indeed the case."
Jiang Jue's heart raced, his breathing becoming rapid.
"Grandpa Yi, which divine sense remains!?"
"The one that used Blue Silver Bind…"
At those words, Jiang Jue's eyes widened. Without another thought, he wanted to urge Electrolux to leave—after all, Blue Silver Bind was the signature technique of Tang San himself.
"Gone."
"…"
Jiang Jue froze, his mood settling again.
"Grandpa Yi, next time can you please finish speaking in one sentence?"
"Hahahaha."
Electrolux chuckled softly and said nothing more.
He realized that ever since following Jiang Jue, although he was no longer as free as before, life had gained color and flavor.
If things continued like this…it didn't seem bad.
"Hiss!"
The next moment, Jiang Jue's entire body went rigid. He felt as if he had been locked by a fierce ancient beast, unable to move.
A few moments later, that gaze slowly withdrew—but immediately after, a streak of violet light filled with terrifying destructive power shot from the spring, flying straight toward him.
"Not good!"
In the spiritual sea, Electrolux roared, raising his staff to block, but Jiang Jue quickly spoke:
"Grandpa Yi, don't panic."
"Awroo!"
Little Tiger's eyes widened. It leaped forward, standing before Jiang Jue to shield him.
But the violet light passed directly through Little Tiger without obstruction, landing toward Jiang Jue's left hand.
Before it could land, the soul-flag imprint on Jiang Jue's left hand flashed—a black ribbon of energy lashed out like a whip, striking the violet light.
As if declaring sovereignty.
The violet light froze, spinning twice in confusion, then like a mistreated wife, meekly shifted direction and flew to Jiang Jue's right hand instead.
"Uh…what…"
Both Jiang Jue and Electrolux were stunned—neither had expected such a scene.
"Boy, your Soul-Refining Banner has quite a temper!"
Electrolux laughed within the spiritual sea.
"Grandpa Yi, I didn't expect this either."
Jiang Jue shook his head. He knew the banner that crossed worlds with him was extraordinary, but he never thought it would dare strike something left behind by the God King of Destruction.
"No choice—this Soul-Refining Banner must be thoroughly developed. There must be things I still don't know."
Jiang Jue silently resolved.
This time, the violet light was not blocked. It slowly landed on the back of Jiang Jue's right hand.
Instantly, a burning sensation spread across his skin, and the light faded, transforming into an ornate ancient dark-violet staff sigil.
With a thought, Jiang Jue made it disappear.
"Why did the God King of Destruction leave this for me? To protect me?"
"But since he noticed me, and destroyed Tang San's divine sense… I can assume he's on the same side—for now at least, our enemy is the same."
Jiang Jue's mind raced. The reason he stopped Electrolux from blocking earlier was exactly this—this could be one of his only allies.
Even if they had never met.
"Boy, are you alright?"
Electrolux asked with concern.
"Grandpa Yi, I'm fine."
"No matter what you do, always put your safety first. Don't take unnecessary risks."
Electrolux reminded him gently.
Hearing the care in his tone, Jiang Jue nodded. Warmth spread through his chest.
"Awroo? Awroo!"
Little Tiger turned around, worried, after the violet light passed through it.
"It's okay."
Jiang Jue rubbed Little Tiger's head and turned his gaze toward the four hundred-thousand-year immortal herbs.
Now that Tang San was gone, it was time to deal with them.
"Human, d-don't come any closer! My whole body is poisonous! I'm useless!"
The Snow Swan Kiss cried out nervously as Jiang Jue approached.
"No, who said you're useless? You're wonderful."
Jiang Jue smiled gently at her.
Beside her, Youyou thought Jiang Jue had fallen for the Snow Swan Kiss and quickly spoke:
"Xuexue, just go with this human. It's for everyone's good."
Snow Swan Kiss: "…"
