After Myra's confession, there was only stunned silence left between the two. Myra's shoulders quivered as she recollected that traumatic experience from a year ago. She was getting goosebumps all over her.
After a brief moment, she calmed down a little and said, her voice low and dejected, "I shunned my childhood friend and her family out completely by fleeing away from their reach. I killed someone with my own hands. I never told my parents and sister about the fallout with Nora and about what happened to me during that time. I lied to them continuously. I am a horrible person, Fabian. I am a murderer. And a selfish person. Not a good daughter, or a sister, or even a friend. I am not a good person." She expressed her true feelings, which were buried deep inside her.
