(Author's POV)
"I will~ …. rea~lly …. jump~ …. And~ di~e," Myra mumbled in her sleep. Her voice filled with raw agony. And for Alex, this was the last straw. He rushed back to her side and tried to break the cycle and get her up from her deep slumber.
He called out, his voice came out low, "Myra~ ... Myra~. Wake up .... Wake up. Myra~ ..... you need to wake upppppp~ ..."
But Myra was too immersed in her ghastly nightmare that she didn't hear a single thing. She was soaked profusely in sweat. The affliction on her face was a testament to her internal struggle.
Alaric pulled at his own hair, trying to get a hold of his wolf, 'Stop it, or else you are going to make things worse. Did you forget what you promised, Alex?'
