"It's been a while," Nora spoke, her eyes boring into Myra, piercing her very being like a dagger. She occupied the seat in front of her.
Everyone was waiting for Myra to respond, but she remained mum. Fabian, who was the closest to her, patted and caressed the back of her hand. That action of his dragged her back from the depths of her topsy turvy thoughts and to the real life challenging situation. She let go of a breath, she didn't know she was holding all this time.
Her eyes flickered as she finally responded, "Yeah~ … it has been."
Looking at her heavily patched up head, bandaged cheek, and dressed up wrists, Nora's heart wrenched. She inquired, "How~ … did this happen? How did you end up like this?" Though she wasn't over the feeling of betrayal yet. The frustration was bubbling inside her. Even Aura, her wolf, was petrified to see Myra in that condition.
