I just can't catch a break!
Riley's been causing trouble. A lot of trouble, to be exact. She's been plotting against her sister at any chance she gets. To be honest, I'm kinda over her childish antics. I'm tired of it all.
Just the other day, Riley instigated some of my employees, who've now been fired, to bully Rhea. I can no recognise this mean person that my fiancée has become.
In a few days, it'll be Riley and Rhea's birthday. Yes, those two sisters were born on the same day. I just hope that Riley won't do anything stupid at their birthday party.
I decided to drop by and check on Rhea. She asked for a day-off because she wasn't feeling well.
After parking my car, and ringing the doorbell, the butler led me inside. I was directed to Rhea's bedroom, and I was about to knock on her door when I heard something.
Rhea let out a blood curling scream. My blood ran cold. I quickly barged inside, not wasting any time. The sight that was before me was very much disturbing.
Riley, with a crazy look in her eyes was frantically choking Rhea who was pinned to the carpet. The poor girl couldn't even move because Riley was sitting on top of her. She could just try to remove Riley's hands from her neck in desperation as her feet scratched the carpet.
I rushed over and pushed Riley from Rhea who was cowering in fear. I embraced Rhea trying to calm her down because she was trembling in fear so much. I glared at Riley who didn't seem fazed at all. If anything, she was glaring daggers at me and Rhea who was in my arms.
In no time, Auntie Jasmine, Rhea's Mom barged inside and embraced Rhea who started crying. At the madam's orders, two bodyguards quickly dragged a trashing Riley out of the house.
Riley went too far. What even brought on this crazy behaviour? To the point that she's now posing a threat to her own sister's life. I couldn't believe it.
"Mom." Rhea sobbed.
"Shhh. It's okay. You're okay." Auntie Jasmine reassured her daughter. She managed to coax Rhea to get up and lie down on her bed.
Riley's hand prints were visible on Rhea's neck. She really went too far this time.
I decided to step out of the room to allow Auntie Jasmine to calm Rhea down.
After some time, Auntie Jasmine emerged from the room. She quietly closed the door behind her.
We started walking down the staircase, heading to the living room.
"I finally managed to put her to sleep." She said. "She's still shaken up."
"Riley went too far." I said.
"What happened?"
I shook my head. "I don't know. I arrived just in time before Riley could've done any more damage."
Auntie Jasmine sighed. "Things are getting out of hand. Riley's getting out of control."
"I know."
She seemed conflicted. "As much as I want to try and understand Riley, I can't possibly overlook today's incident." She turned to me. "I don't want Riley anywhere close to Rhea or this house. I'm not going to lose my daughter because of her."
I could only nod in agreement. This was the right decision.
"She also can't come to the birthday party."
"But..."
Auntie Jasmine raised her hand, showing me that she didn't want to hear my argument. She had already made up her mind.
