Chapter 7 - 7 Magicians and Warriors

"..." Tier was silent.

"..." Kaming returned his silence.

"By the way, Mr. Kaming, what is the magic you just mentioned? Is it some kind of divine power?" The astonishing speed of changing the subject made Kaming noticeably pause for a beat before he coughed and said,

"Indeed, since you've lost your memory, you've forgotten even the basic knowledge of this continent. But not losing the memory of language and cognition is a blessing in disguise." Kaming didn't wait for Tier's reaction and walked around him.

"Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Lightning are the five lower attributes, and Light, Darkness, and Space are the three higher attributes. As I said before, as long as one's affinity for a certain element is higher than ten percent, one can cultivate its corresponding magic."

"Magic, as the name suggests, is the Law of Magic Power, and magic has seventeen stages." At this point, Kaming raised his left pincer, and suddenly a Fireball Technique, burning with fierce flames, appeared above it, like a miniature sun. The terrifying temperature made Tier unconsciously take a step back.

"This is the first stage of magic, the Fireball Technique. And so on and so forth. The first to second stages are Magic Apprentices, the third stage is exclusively for Orthodox Magicians, and the fourth to ninth stages are Great Magicians. The tenth to thirteenth stages are Magisters, and the fourteenth to sixteenth stages are the limit that Mortals can reach, Saint Domain Magisters. As for the seventeenth stage and above, 'Non-Magic,' only those who step into the Domain of Gods, certain anomalies, can touch it. Have you understood everything up to this point?"

"Yes, Mr. Kaming, I think magic is very good. Please teach me this; I believe it will surely allow us to safely leave this forest."

Tier's eyes lit up. The Big Crab in front of him looked more and more pleasing. The green armor, which had seemed very poisonous before, now had a profound feeling.

"Don't be in a hurry. I am a God who entered the Domain of Gods through Martial Arts. As for magic, I only learned it casually after becoming a God when I had nothing to do. I'm still a half-baked practitioner, so how can I have the face to teach you?" Kaming was exceptionally frank. To be honest, Tier had a good impression of Kaming, a guy who spoke his mind without any concealment. Moreover, the other party indeed seemed to be a God. It could even be said that treating a Mortal so equally already showed him to be approachable, honest, and humble.

"Then you mean..."

Tier spoke half a sentence. Kaming, of course, saw through his little thoughts, shook his huge crab pincer, and looked indifferent.

"Since you helped me escape, as a God, I can't let you suffer a loss. Although there are still mountains of things to deal with, teaching you a few Martial Skills is still possible."

"Really?! Let's start now!" Tier exclaimed excitedly. Remembering how he had been scared into silence by just one look from that Blond Bastard, he instantly became furious. Although Tier didn't like to provoke others, if he didn't give that guy a taste of his own medicine, he couldn't swallow this anger.

"Originally, I was just going to teach you a few moves on the spot. Afterward, I have an important mission to attend to. Of course, don't worry, even the weakest God teaching you would be enough for you to achieve minor success, let alone an experienced God like me."

"Mm-hmm." Tier nodded repeatedly, so obedient that Kaming wondered if the arrogant young man who had been dismissive of him earlier was an illusion.

Snapping back to reality, Kaming forced a cough and walked around Tier like a teacher.

"Martial Artists, one in ten, are so numerous compared to Magicians that they are almost overflowing. Therefore, their Rank division is more rigorous than that of Magicians, and their professions are frighteningly many. Knights are one, Assassins are one, Swordsmen are also one. By the way, Magicians also have professions such as Barrier Masters, Elementalists, and Prophets."

"Just as Magicians need Qi elements and Laws to drive magic, Martial Artists also need Battle Qi to drive Martial Skills.

Among them, [Qi He] is the first stage, where physical strength will be much greater than that of ordinary people, comparable to the body of a wild beast.

And when one reaches the [Army-Breaking] stage, the numbers sharply decrease like a pyramid. It can be said that Martial Artists of the Pojun Rank are already the backbone of the Empire. If they go to some small kingdoms, they might even gain a territory to be wooed.

I don't think it would benefit you to talk more about the [Son of Heaven] and even higher [Sealed Emperor] Ranks. When you reach a certain height, you will naturally know."

Apparently considering Tier's amnesia, Kaming explained some basic knowledge in great detail. Tier, in turn, transformed into an obedient student, sitting cross-legged on the ground and meticulously listening to the Big Crab's narration.

"Well, a basic Martial Artist needs Battle Qi Movement Technique, Martial Skills, and various weapons. I can verbally teach you the Cultivation Technique for Battle Qi. Movement Technique and Martial Skills will require direct instruction. As for weapons, I think these branches will do."

"As a God, Mr. Kaming, don't you have any possessions?"

"Shut up! Everything Can Be Sharpened! As long as your martial arts are exquisite, even a small branch can defeat masters much stronger than you." Although Kaming spoke with great confidence, he seemed a little lacking in conviction under Tier's gaze.

"Ahem, what an arrogant kid. Alright, enough talk, let's start with Movement Technique."

"..." Tier frowned and suddenly fell silent.

"What's wrong?"

"No, nothing. Please continue teaching me." The reason Tier suddenly fell silent was for no other reason than that his other self had awakened.

――――――――――――The Dividing Line of the Girl――――――――――――

The girl Tier opened her eyes. Before her was an exquisitely carved ceiling. The girl found herself lying on a bed. Estimating the time, only a little over two hours had passed since she was abducted by that Blond Bastard. Even by horseback, the journey wouldn't be too far.

It seemed her original route was correct. If she had kept going, she might have reached a populated area before it got completely dark. It was just a pity that because of that Blond Bastard, the male Tier had to go in the opposite direction!
