Andrew had been furious when Evelyn chose to spend her birthday at Black Moon, and they fought several times about her decision. During their last argument, he told her he was only allowing her to stay at Black Moon because she was "special."
After being rejected, Evelyn traveled to Andrew's pack in Canada, where he immediately pushed her to go through the marking process with him. Although Evelyn was still confused and heartbroken, Andrew showed no concern for her conflicted feelings. She interpreted his urgency as a passionate desire to be with her, and she felt honored by it. Sadly, as Astrid and I watched the memory reels later, we doubted that was his real motivation.
Eventually, Evelyn agreed to the marking and accepted Andrew as her chosen mate.
