Chapter 39 - I'm Pregnant

The moment Sejal stepped into the hospital, she felt like the air had been knocked out of her lungs.

Everything around her was a blur—the white walls, the scent of antiseptic, the low murmur of doctors and nurses moving around, patients lying on stretchers, and the soft beeping of medical equipment. Her body felt weak, heavy, exhausted, but the fear in her heart was stronger than the physical pain.

She didn't want to be here.

She didn't want to know what was wrong.

Because deep inside, a terrifying thought was already clawing at the back of her mind.

What if…?

No, that wasn't possible.

Keshav walked beside her, his face set in an expression of mild irritation, as if he was annoyed at the inconvenience of this entire situation. He wasn't worried about her. He wasn't concerned about her health. He was only here because he wanted answers.

"Just get checked, and let's be done with this." he muttered as they reached the reception desk.
