Chapter 911 - Chapter 851 ZAGE Korea Offices - ZAGE Hub

Friday 1 January 1998 Seoul Korea.

Zaboru stood in front of the newly completed ZAGE offices in Korea, a towering building now officially known as the ZAGE Hub. The structure boasts around 20 expansive floors, each one spacious enough to accommodate a large number of staff comfortably. The design was modern and sleek, clearly built with both productivity and employee comfort in mind.

Soon after, Park Woojin arrived. As the CEO of Red Falcon — the official ZAGE distributor in both Korea and China — he was also responsible for overseeing all ZAGE-related facilities in the region. With a confident smile, he approached Zaboru, ready to begin their tour.

"Ready to do some tour, boss?" Park asked with a grin. Zaboru smiled and gave a quick nod. "Let's go, Park."

As they stepped inside the building, Zaboru's eyes widened with amusement and pride. The lobby was filled with vibrant decorations featuring ZAGE characters hanging high above the entrance, welcoming everyone with cheerful banners that read, "Hello and Welcome!" in Korean. There were animated cutouts, posters, and even life-sized statues scattered around the ground floor, all contributing to a lively and energetic atmosphere.

Zaboru chuckled softly. "This looks really good," he said, nodding in approval. Park smiled proudly at the reaction. The combination of bright colors, familiar mascots like Mario , Sonics and Sponge-Bob, and engaging design created a welcoming environment that immediately felt full of life.

They continued deeper into the building. The first floor was designated for food and relaxation — a spacious cafeteria that could seat hundreds, with a variety of local and international cuisine options. The walls were decorated with concept art from ZAGE titles, while the seating areas had modern, comfortable designs that encouraged social interaction.

The second floor was all about fun — the gaming floor. Dozens of ZEPS 3 stations , Arcades were set up with the latest ZAGE titles. It was both a testing ground and a space for employees to unwind, share ideas, and stay connected to what they were building.

On the third floor, they arrived at the in-house gym. "Wow," Zaboru remarked. It was well-equipped, with treadmills, weights, yoga mats, and even a climbing wall. A wellness area was tucked into the corner with massage chairs and meditation pods. "A full gym in the office floor? I like this," Zaboru said.

Park nodded. "We believe staying healthy helps everyone work better. And it's good for morale, too."

Zaboru grinned. So far, everything exceeded his expectations.

Then Zaboru checked the 5th floor, which already had a comfortable and professional working vibe. Curious, he asked, "So, are all the working floors like this?"

Park nodded. "Well, the 10th floor is used for Townhall meetings, and there's also a massive recording studio fully equipped with musical instruments. On the 12th floor, we've already set up a complete Motion Capture studio, installed by Zen Studio — one of ZAGE's subsidiaries that specializes in mocap technology. Aside from that, the rest of the office layout follows a consistent structure focused on creativity, collaboration, and efficiency."

Zaboru nodded, taking in the space. The offices were cozy yet impressively spacious, capable of comfortably accommodating around 150 people. Not to mention, the layout included a pantry, a rest area, and multiple meeting rooms. As he moved from one office space to another, inspecting each corner, he found himself quite pleased — the place already carried the unmistakable ZAGE atmosphere.

By the time they reached the 18th floor, Zaboru looked around and said with a satisfied grin, "This is really well-built, Park."

Park Woojin returned the smile with pride. "Obviously, Boss. I tried my best to match your taste."

Zaboru chuckled. "So, are my personal floors ready?"

Park laughed lightly and nodded. "Yes. Your personal floors start at 19. That floor will serve as your main office, complete with your secretary's space and several workstations if you want to get hands-on with anything. And the 20th floor — that's for your personal use. It's been designed like a small private apartment. You can rest there or use it when your wife and son come to visit."

Zaboru gave another approving nod. He was clearly satisfied. Having a private space was something he knew he'd need during long work periods.

"Well then, let's check it out, shall we?" he said.

Park agreed, and they took the elevator up to the 19th floor. As they stepped out, they were greeted by a polished door bearing the nameplate "Zaboru Renkonan." Zaboru took a moment to absorb the sight before stepping in.

Inside, the office was exactly how he liked it — simple, clean, and efficient. This space wasn't built to impress with luxury; it was made for practical use, especially for meetings and brief stays.

Zaboru smiled to himself. He wouldn't be here often, but when he was, this would be the perfect place to work in peace.

He took a seat and looked around. "Great layout — simple, exactly my taste," he said with a nod of approval. Park grinned; he knew Zaboru too well. Zaboru had always disliked excessive luxury, which is why the minimalist design suited him perfectly. Park then sat down across from him, ready to begin the conversation.

"Boss, the land that we bought in Beijing is already on going for construction. We're planning to build offices similar to this one, and we expect them to be completed by the end of 2000 or, at the latest, early 2001."

Zaboru nodded thoughtfully. Park continued, "But Boss, will ZAGE Korea and China fall under the same management structure, or will they operate as completely separate entities?"

Zaboru paused for a moment, then replied, "In principle, they'll be part of the same overarching team. The name for both will be 'Dynasty.' However, each will have its own local branch — one in Korea and one in China — so while they're connected under the same brand and framework, they'll operate somewhat independently in day-to-day execution."

Park Woojin nodded slowly, digesting the answer, then asked, "So will they be doing similar kinds of work or projects?"

Zaboru shook his head. "Not exactly. They'll be part of the same Dynasty team, but their focus areas will be different. Dynasty Korea and Dynasty China will each develop projects suited to their market and talents and depend on me too. The shared name reflects the unified vision, but their output will be uniquely regional."

Park considered that for a moment before asking, "So why not just create entirely new teams with different names?"

Zaboru chuckled. "Part of it is that I've planned for ZAGE to have only eight main development teams for now. Keeping it under the Dynasty name helps keep the structure lean and connected. As for the deeper reasons... well, let's just say it ties into a personal goal of mine hehe."

Zaboru leaned back in his chair, relaxing slightly. "But in the future, we can expand them further if needed," he said confidently. From those eight core teams, he knew there would eventually be many subsidiaries, each with their own specialties and directions. He already had plans underway — for instance, the London office was expected to be ready sometime next year.

He had even chosen a name for the new team in London: Team Omni. The name reflected his ambition to create a globally versatile team that could handle cross-regional projects and unique challenges.

With those thoughts in mind, Zaboru and Park moved up to the 20th floor, which had been designed more like a private apartment than an office. It was quiet, warm, and cozy — a perfect retreat above the bustle of the company's operations below.

Zaboru smiled as he sat down by the wide window, enjoying the view of Seoul's skyline. The room had a calming atmosphere, and the design was tasteful yet minimal. Park joined him at the window, and after a moment of silence, Zaboru turned to him with a question.

Zaboru then asked Park, "So, how's the recruitment going?"

Park chuckled. "Well, starting next Monday, the offices will officially begin operations. We gave the new hires about two weeks to settle in and adapt to the environment. That adjustment period wraps up soon, so in the next two weeks, things will officially kick off. Recruitment is done, training has already started for some, and the transition phase is nearly complete."

Zaboru nodded and grinned. "I see. Then I might stay in Korea for a while — maybe for the next two weeks or even a full month after everything begins. They'll need guidance, and it's important I'm here for that."

Park Woojin's eyes lit up. "Boss, that's the best thing you could do!" he said with enthusiasm.

He wasn't just being polite — he genuinely meant it. Park knew just how impactful Zaboru could be. Across the industry, Zaboru was known for being an exceptional mentor — especially in the development sector. His teaching style was hands-on, insightful, and inspiring. Developers who trained under him often credited their growth and breakthroughs to his direct guidance.

With Zaboru at the Korea branch during its launch period, it would be more than just helpful — it would set a strong tone for everything to follow. His presence would boost confidence, sharpen the team's focus, and lay down a foundation of quality and discipline from day one.

Zaboru smiled quietly. He was genuinely excited to see what his Korean team — Dynasty — would become. These next few weeks would be their first step, and he intended to walk it with them, not just as a boss, but as someone who could shape their journey.
