Adam stared at the creature, his eyes wide like saucers.
At this moment, his mind was screeching through a full-system diagnostic.
"What the hell am I looking at?"
Adam said out loud in confusion.
More importantly...
"How the hell is it moving right now?"
Time was still frozen as the rest of the world was locked in place.
However, it was the creature's actions that made him anxious.
As its horned head tilted again while smiling at him.
A slow, unnerving curl of scaled lips pulled back to show long, needle-like teeth, and scary-looking eyes.
But what was even more surprising was the fact that the creature could talk.
"...Brother."
Adam flinched at the very word.
"The hell?"
He muttered.
To say he was taken by surprise would be an understatement. He was utterly shocked at this thing's choice of words.
