Advantages over light magic for dark and death magic users
Light is fast but darkness and death magic offensive power higher in the same stage because it slowly corrupts the targets cover a larger area compared to light magic.
Light magic requires insane focus and mana control when compared to dark and death man which requires intense emotions, strong will and mana control so disrupting focus weakens the spell.
Light magic is often limited to 6 sections at best such as offense, defense, speed, Buff/Debuff , healing and purification however dark/death magic has many branches as offense, defense, speed, healing , stealth , poison ,curse, corruption, etc., Dark/Death magic often have lingering effects that continue to harm or debilitate targets over time, whereas light magic effects may be more temporary unless it is recovery related.
Dark/Death magic can suppress or obscure the magical aura of the practitioner, making it difficult for light magic users to detect or track them through magical means.
Dark/Death magic can harness the power of sacrifices, whether living beings or objects, to amplify its effects and boost the practitioner's abilities.
Chapter start:
We reached the dungeon, it was night the 5 Divine Sentries were patrolling Blake used Inky blast blinded the Sentries, I used Spectral Scythe Art second form: Vanishing slash, killed all the Sentries however these were intelligent life forms, soon they discovered they were missing some sentries they sent a mid-boss Radiant Griffin, and 15 Sentries to counter against threats.
I saw back-up arriving Sentries with a griffin I also summoned skeletal soldiers and skeletal hounds. They countered Sentries. I fought with Blake to kill the Griffin, meanwhile one sentry released a signal for back-up. I killed the griffin with Blake. I collected the bodies of the sentries and the Griffin.
We entered the temple we were greeted by 10 Divine Sentries and 2 Holy Templars, I released skeletal archers to attack from behind while we charged at them. All the sentries deployed their shields and stood in a basic defense formation. I didn't hold back and used First Form: Grim Cuts which exploited the areas of poorly defended spots in the formation, I break through the formation went sliced every single sentries meanwhile Blake handled the Templars.
I lost 12 skeletal soldiers and 2 archers ever since I entered a dungeon.
I followed Blake where continued our raid until we reached the boss room.
Before going into the boss room we prepared I used shadow armour, ice offering.
I initiated the soul binding ritual with the already created setup and proceeded with barely living griffin which gave me the ability Soul Drain - Each hit will to absorb the life force of the target, healing the wielder for about 5% of the total damage dealt for each unblocked strike.
Then I proceeded with Necromantic Empowerment portion ready in my hands along with Nightfall Nectar. I also prepared 2 spells in advance i.e. Shadow Sprint and Shadow Empowerment. Blake also prepared his own buffs
We saw an old abounded huge room where the boss Guardian Seraph is sealed and 4 mid-boss Griffins in front of the boss.
The griffins came forward before attacking they unleased 4 Holy Roars effectively boosting their strength and defense not only their but also the strength of the boss monster. In response the boss monster was released and used Wings of Valor which boosted the Griffins' speed and defense.
We also buff ourselves with spells and rituals.
Right now despite being stage-2 early I and Blake with our buffs we are at least early stage 3.
I used the spell Mourner's Cry which due to Necromantic Empowerment portion caused huge panic and distress among the Griffins and almost broke their formation.
We used this chance, I fired ice needles on their eyes but their defense was very high it evaporated before it made contact then got back into formation very quickly.
They used Wing Gust together which sent us flying by which we got smashed on the gate of the boss room.
Thanks to shadow armour, both of us were safe then we got claws of 2 griffins preventing it from using its skill Talons of Light. I summoned my army and they stabbed it from effectively killing them both. Now 1 boss and 2 mid boss left.
