"Mr. Jon Felsmer, nice to meet you." When Jon Felsmer looked up, he saw that the person opposite him was Rowan Stark, the boss of the recently popular Stark Pictures.
"I'm glad to meet you, too, Mr. Stark. Also, please call me Jon." Jon Felsmer suddenly felt a little nervous, and he was a little embarrassed to cover the magazine on the table. After all, when reading the content about the other party in the magazine, anyone would be a bit flustered if they met the person right then.
"Okay, Jon. This is my agent, Mary Acker. I think you should know her." Rowan pointed to Mary beside him and introduced him.
"Of course, both of you are very famous in the Hollywood circle now," Jon Felsmer said with a smile.
"Oh, I don't know when I will be able to be compared with Rowan, the All-American genius." Mary Acker said jokingly as she sat down after all she knew that it was because of Sid that her and her company became famous.
Jon Felsmer couldn't help but ask, "Mr. Stark, you..."
"Call me Rowan." Rowan said with a smile but force.
"Oh, okay, Rowan." Jon Felsmer nodded hesitantly.
"Are you trying to ask me why I wanted to meet you, the CEO of Lionsgate Films, in private?" Rowan asked with a smile.
"That's right." Jon Felsmer nodded solemnly.
"Of course it's because I'm very optimistic about your performance at Lionsgate." Rowan also put away his smile and said seriously, "So I would like to invite you to be the CEO of our Stark Pictures."
Without any preheating, persuasion or rhetoric, Rowan stated his intention directly, which stunned Jon Felsmer on the opposite side. Although he had some guesses beforehand, Jon Felsmer was still shocked when he heard Rowan say it in person.
With the box office success of "Paranormal Activity", Stark Pictures and Stark TV began to recruit and expand their staff, because as the company grew, there were more matters to handle.
Rowan found that he spent too much energy just to control the planning and handling of daily affairs, and had almost no time to prepare for the next movie. So after discussing with Mary Acker, Rowan decided to find a reliable CEO to help him manage the company.
This allows me to free myself from the complicated daily affairs and just control the overall development of the Stark group, while having time to do what I like.
So Rowan and Mary started to check out the people who could be poached in Hollywood.
Although Hollywood has always had many outstanding professional managers, such as Barry Diller, who saved Paramount and developed Fox TV from scratch into the fourth largest TV station in the United States, and Robert Iger, who saved Disney from the abyss created by Michael Eisner and made Disney successfully counterattack.
But in Rowan's opinion, there is only one company in the entire Hollywood that has a truly brilliant and accurate overall view and outstanding micro-management - Lionsgate!
As a second-tier film company, Lionsgate has an alternative and unique market positioning that is accurate and effective. From Rowan's perspective, looking at the history of Lionsgate's development, you will be surprised to find that they have hardly made any big mistakes and have continuously created various miracles.
The history of Lionsgate's rise to wealth can be described as a life of cheating. If Sid himself had not traveled through time, he would really think that the Lionsgate people were the sons of the plane who had gathered all the power of the wilderness.
So when it comes to finding a CEO for his company, the first person Rowan thinks of is Jon Felsmer, the current CEO of Lionsgate.
It is still too difficult to attract executives from the six major film companies and those famous second-tier companies that have been established for more than ten years to work at Stark Pictures.
After all, Stark Pictures is still a small company that has only released one movie, and that is an outlier in non-traditional film films. With such achievements, it would be too difficult to expect those old hands who have been in Hollywood for many years to switch to Stark Pictures.
So in comparison, Lionsgate, which is still far from successful, has become the stock with the most potential to be explored.
"Um, sorry..." After thinking for a long time, Jon Filsmer refused.
"Oh, why?" To Jon Filsmer's surprise, Rowan did not get angry or frustrated, but inquired with curiosity, "As far as I know, Lionsgate is still just a small company without any box office success experience."
"Isn't Stark Pictures as attractive as the company you're working for now?"
"No, that's not the reason." Jon Felsmer shook his head and said, "It's just that Lionsgate's alternative and business philosophy and work style are more suitable for me. So, I don't think I can be of much help to your company."
After explaining, Jon Felsmer bowed apologetically. Rowan looked at Mary Acker helplessly and nodded: "Well, I hope we can have a chance to cooperate again in the future, Jon."
And then Jon Felsmer left.
"Huh~~~, I didn't expect the Lionsgate people to be so tight-lipped!" Rowan sighed with emotion: "Whether it's the distribution manager Tom Oldenburg, the film acquisition manager Peter Block, or even this Jon, none of them were interested in our invitation."
"Humph, they will regret it sooner or later." Mary Acker said extremely unhappily.
Yes, Rowan and his team have quietly tried to poach all the "Big Three" of Lionsgate, but it is really amazing that they are worthy of the "Child of the Plane" Lionsgate. Now it is still unknown and has not even a movie with a box office of over 10 million US dollars, but several key members are not tempted by Rowan's invitation.
"Well, what's the point of being upset about these things?" Rowan laughed, "It seems there is no other way. Let's go with plan B and look for your friend Rahm Emmanuel."
"Ah~~~" Mary Acker, showed a rare frustrated expression: "I really don't want to owe that bastard a favor."
"Come on Mary, do it for the team" Rowan said with a smile causing Mary to sigh in frustration.

While Mary was busy helping Rowan for poaching people, Rowan was having a party with the crew of American Beauty after finishing the shooting of the movie.
Because of how busy Rowan is going to be in the upcoming months the post production of the movie may end up stretching till the end of the year as he would need to squeeze the time for in between his different projects.
But still at the very least he won't have to worry about it any more.
The benefit of this movie wasn't much though, although Rowan found that he could gain abilities as a director, it was half of what he can get from being an actor so if there is a movie on which he can't act being a director will be enough but a movie like American Beauty which doesn't have much to gain.
All he got was +1 in Charm, which isn't something Rowan lacks.
