"Hello, can you please wait a moment? Do you have time to fill this questionnaire?"
"You can get a small gift."
A middle-aged female audience member stopped and wrote A+ without hesitation, "I have to admit that I was horrified after watching it. I highly recommend it!!! It's a very alternative science fiction film. Believe it or not, it's actually that simple. Our thinking has been framed by life, and when we encounter something unknown, we will be overwhelmed and stamp our feet. However, such incredible things are actually true!"
Then the next middle-aged male audience member said, "A, it seems that I like this kind of movie that has a lot of dialogues like a stage play and is thought-provoking."
Of course, there are also opposing views. A tennager directly criticized, "This movie is totally useless. It's nothing but dialogue. It's disgusting. It's a waste of my time. The lowest score is C-."
A fat white guy also said, "C-, liar! I thought the ending would be a group of aliens taking "the man from Earth" away!"
Around 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, Stark Pictures distribution director Ames McCann was waiting for the results of a questionnaire survey of moviegoers who had watched "The Man from Earth" last night. After all, this was the second movie of their company.
"It's out. We collected about 500 questionnaires for "The Man From Earth", of which 47.2% scored above A (including A+ and A-), 6% scored above B (including B+ and B-), and 46.8% scored above C (including C+ and C-)." A staff member came over to report to Ames McCann.
"So the polarization is very serious?" said Sean Davidson, the head of distribution at Stark Pictures.
"Yes, we found that people who scored A are mostly middle-aged or well-educated, while those who scored C are mostly younger or less educated."
On Saturday and Sunday the total screens were increased by 100 and the box office rose to $4.631 million and $3.282 million with which the weekend box office came out to be $6.981 million dollars
"The bigh hit" which was released on 24th April but on much larger scale with more than 2400 theaters became the box office champion earning 10.809 million dollars on its first weekend.
The second place, "City of Angels ", released on 10th April and has a cumulative box office of $46.55 million US dollars, and a box office of $9.01 million US dollars this weekend.
The third place, "This Man From Earth", has a cumulative box office of 8.981 million US dollars, and a box office of 8.981 million US dollars in the first weekend.
The fourth place, "Titanic", has a cumulative box office of 560.615 million US dollars, and a box office of 4.938 million US dollars this weekend.
In fifth place, "The object of my affection" has a cumulative box office of 17.09 million US dollars, and a box office of 5.16 million US dollars this weekend.

At a first glace it is a pity that the movie didn't became the box office champion but if you look closely than you will know that it's competition wasn't even fair. Both the "The Big Hit" and "City of Angeles" had more than 2400 theaters while there movie only had 300 screens so it isn't a fair comparison.
Sean called Rowan and asked "Boss can I ask where are you right now?"
"Sean! I came to college to collect my degrees why is there a problem?" Rowan asked as for how he was getting his degrees when he haven't been going to classes well it's quite simple he was missing few credits from graduating along with a thesis for both Maths and Biology. So he directly submitted his thesis to his two professors and donated some money to help along with his credits as he didn't have time to join the classes anymore thanks to that he could now get his degrees in Math's and Biology.
"No, it's just I wanted to ask When is it convenient for you to come over for an interview? We will then be ready to contact the media." Sean Davidson said directly.
"Of course no problem. How about I come to office this afternoon?" Rowan thought about it and decided to accept the interview. After all, it would be beneficial to the movie.
When Jason arrived at Warner Bros. in the afternoon, Sean Davidson and Henry Smith were waiting for him at the door, which made Rowan shake his head in exasperation.
"The media people are already upstairs. By the way, Boss, based on the box office results, we urgently contacted the theater chain. Today we can arrange to add about 680 screens for "The Man from Earth". If the results are still ideal in the next few weekdays, the theater chain has agreed to add about 1,500 screens next weekend." Sean Davidson said as he walked.
"That's good it looks like it was a good idea to release it in the theaters." Rowan said
"Well, boss a lot of your fans came to watch the movie this weekend so the result was better than expected but from now on everything will depend on how we publicize it." Sean stated and Rowan nodded in understanding.
When Rowan walked to their companies media interview area, a plump black woman in her 30s was already waiting there.
"Hello, Director Rowan, I am Jennifer Tilly, a reporter from The Hollywood Reporter." The black young woman introduced herself briefly. Rowan and Jennifer Tilly briefly talked about the interview questions and prepared to start the interview.
"So the first thing I want to know is why did you suddenly decided to become a director when you just became an actor last year." Jennifer Tilly asked.
"Well I never just wanted to be an actor, and this idea was really too good of an opportunity for me to pass. As you may know I am ad Academic myself and I like to debate with my professors on different topics so making a purely dialogue based conversational movie really made me pick it up." Rowan explained
"So the people talking in the movie are professors? Real professors?"
"Yes, other than me six of them are real professors in real life now."
After Rowan seriously answered a bunch of questions about the movie, Jennifer Tilly suddenly asked a few personal questions.
"So, off topic from the movie, do you have a girlfriend now?"
"No."
"No?" Jennifer Tilly suddenly looked at Rowan with a strange look.
"I have been busy running around with different niches so I really don't have the time for getting in a relationship right now"
