Principles were unique.
They were literally the mathematics or equations of Existence, fundamental truths that simply existed whether one knew about them or not.
These were truths woven into the fabric of reality itself, and they would continue operating regardless of who acknowledged their presence.
If one held enough power, they could access these Principles and use their inherent authority. This was basically gaining access to the workings of Existence itself, allowing one to more easily manipulate surrounding reality rather than fighting against its natural tendencies. Instead of forcing change through brute strength, one could work with the underlying code that governed how things functioned.
Principles, paired with the Assertion of their Way of Existence, made THE entities extremely powerful. And this was a bit of what Achilles remembered about the power of THE from THE Corpse Hierophant's memories.
