The guard let them in the back door which was the basement floor of the building and when the iron door was opened what waited for was chaos and it just felt more surreal to Sophia.
Like there were dozens of people agents getting ready, putting on kevlar vests, counting ammunition, putting weapons into the armored cars, checking their equipment. One of them even had a grenade launcher in his hand, loading the grenade itself.
It was just surreal to step into knowing full well who you are and that once you were being hunted by them… but it was even more surreal that they didn't give a single fuck about her.
Like she wasn't even there, nobody looked at her in a threatening way, not even a glance. Everybody was just doing their own job, checking their own equipment, making sure it worked, like it was a normal day and nothing more.
