"James, wake up." Hector's voice came as he started poking James's side, but it didn't really work, and to be honest, Hector didn't want to be the one waking him up, so he went with the next plan. "Charlotte, wake your dad up." He said and Charlotte was already looking at them, and well, he didn't need to say it twice.
She stood up from the ground, got into position, and took off like a pro runner, sprinting straight toward the couch before jumping right onto James… and that woke him up for sure.
"...what the fuc—"
"Wake up!" Charlotte's voice came again as she cupped James's face with her hands and started shaking him.
"I am up…" James's tired, half-awake voice came as he grabbed Charlotte and stopped her, her shaking feeling like it was rattling his entire mind inside his skull. Through his blurry vision, all he could see was Hector and Ramirez sitting off to the side, watching, and on the other side, Bella… with a smile on her face…
