Jace was sitting in an underground building. It had plenty of fancy decorations. Like some screens displaying a consistent background of a tropical island. Then there were the white, black and gold colored pieces of furniture. With the only thing set apart from the rest of the decor was a painting. It was a black and white painting that initially just looked like black ink on a beige background.
But after looking at it closer he realized it depicted a battle. It was not a space battle or one where guns were used. Instead all of the fighters on it were using blades to fight. More modern art that depict battles are usually showing a space ship battle, mech battle, or a battle between two forces that use guns.
