Kelly's breathing was still a little uneven, the aftershocks of her earlier training session making her chest rise and fall against him. Her voice came out low and soft, almost as if she was telling him a secret.
"I've been training since before sunrise," she said. "I'm sweating… I probably stink."
She wasn't wrong — she was damp all over, her nightwear clinging to her in patches, and now her body heat and moisture were seeping into him as well. The thin material of his shirt had already grown warm and slightly wet where she pressed against him.
But Liam didn't pull away. Instead, he leaned in slightly and breathed her in.
"Nah," he murmured. "You smell good. Real. Natural."
Kelly rolled her eyes at that, but there was a faint curve at the corner of her lips that betrayed her. "You're ridiculous."
He smirked. "Maybe. But I'm not lying."
