The bathroom door creaked open, and a faint cloud of steam followed Lana as she stepped out. Her damp hair clung to her shoulders, dark strands dripping at the ends, and she wore a thick white robe tied lazily around her waist.
The moment she appeared, Riri's expression shifted completely. Just seconds ago, she'd been leaning back in her chair with that cold, carefree sharpness about her. Now, she put on a bright, almost sweet smile. Her eyes softened, her posture straightened, and she looked like a completely different person.
She even smiled at Liam.
Liam's jaw tightened. That smile was so out of place it stunned him for a second. His mind went blank, the only thought running through him: This woman… she's insane.
