Heya folks. Not a new chapter, not yet at least. Just an update about where this story is headed and how I would like to take it from here.
Having DMed and Played a lot more games, I have an understanding of how the scale of a Wizard from Greyhawk/Forgotten Realms would scale as compared to one from Potter-verse.
So as to answer a few questions.
Will there be any Romantic Interests?
Hopefully, but I have no confidence in writing romance. It would not be a Harem, that is for sure. There will only be one relationship that would be pursued. Who that would be? I do not know.
What about the original Trio? What about the original cast?
I would be proceeding with the book version of the original Trio. Ron being much more street smart and Hermoine being the batshit crazy Wizard that she is. Ginny? Well we shall see what the wild sorceror gets up to.
Will there be any crossovers from other D&D verses?
I have already seeded Ravenloft and Strahd. It would be a disservice to the readers to not do anything with it.
Why the long break?
To come out with it, I was using AI as an Editor/Proof-reader for my earlier chapters. This was fun originally, but now it seems like much of my own style was eroded in the final draft.
I want to be frank to the readers and establish where I stand with AI and writing. Well for me it has no place in creative writing/creation. It feels fake and monotonous. The more I consume authentic content the more I felt bad about what I had written or what I made AI write.
Going forward, the writing style will fluctuate as I stumble around to find my ground. Stealing from other writers and DMs XD.
Just to be clear, the ideas and flow has always been mine. The writing style was something that AI made, since I was always insecure about my own style. But going forward, this won't be the case.
Tone Shift.
The story has been very serious as of now, which is not my style. I want it to be just like a typical Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Though this does not mean I would have sarcastic quips in every dialogue between characters.
