The pounding on the door rang out again and again without pause, even starting to grow more forceful.
Perhaps those demons had already caught the scent of the Hobbit.
Silvanus frowned. With a flick of his hand, a metal door instantly appeared, encasing the wooden door without leaving the slightest gap.
The only advantage he had right now was that he might, at the very least, be able to find Asmoday and talk things out. Who knew, maybe he could trade for something. But in any case, he definitely could not stay here any longer.
With that thought, Silvanus did not hesitate. He wrapped Nick's cloak around himself, making sure his body was tightly concealed, then climbed out the window. Without a trace of fear, he ran downward. Wherever his feet landed, iron steps rapidly formed beneath them.
He rushed straight outside, sprinting off in the direction Nick had gone earlier.
