Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 : Celestial Realm

Chapter 14 : Celestial Realm

Zhai Sanshi took Tang Feng past a lot of outer disciples, some catching a glimpse of the general who according to them just came out of seclusion.

"Those old geezers are really heartless. They didn't even wait for me to consolidate my cultivation and wait for a breakthrough before they send me on errands," Zhai Sanshi thought to himself as he led Tang Feng across the path leading to a high flight of stairs.

He glanced back at Tang Feng to get a good look at him, taking note of his neatly kept blue robe with a sash strapped on one side of his shoulders; a custom uniform for the workers who were stationed at the gates, with each gate having different colors.

Tang Feng knew that he was being stared at but paid no attention to it, letting Zhai Sanshi get his fill of sizing him up.

They had finally arrived.

Zhai Sanshi took Tang Feng into a large hall which had the tags boldly imprinted on the top of its doors 'Great Hall'. Tang Feng took a good look at it and his surrounding environment. The area was vast with nothing but buildings and mountains as far as the eyes could see.

"Let's go," Zhai Sanshi said, looking at Tang Feng as he observed his surroundings. His voice made Tang Feng snap out of his thoughts and went with the general into the hall.

The great hall was spacious like all others that Tang Feng had seen in his previous life, but he couldn't help but compare it to his own hall in the sect he founded. When he thought about the sect, he wondered how it had been since he died.

Tang Feng was still walking behind Zhai Sanshi when he saw two slightly huge figures sitting next to each other at the end of the aisle before him, both of them exuding auras that could suffocate.

There were also five seats on both sides of the aisles but they were all empty, so Tang Feng looked back at the two figures in front of him, who turned out to be old men.

"Zhai Sanshi pays respect to sect master and vice sect master," Zhai Sanshi said, going down on one knee, his hands extended outward and head bowed.

Tang Feng followed suit and repeated the exact words Zhai Sanshi spoke, "Luo Zeng pays respect to sect master and vice sect master," he said, mirroring what Zhai Sanshi did.

The two old men looked at Tang Feng and Zhai Sanshi and nodded their head, before turning their gazed back to Zhai Sanshi.

"Go," Bai Zhang, the vice sect master, who sat beside Shen Zhu, the sect master said, his voice vibrating in the room, causing the pillars to shake, and dust to slip off the ceilings.

"Yes... yes," Zhai Sanshi said and backed away, with Tang Feng still focused on the two elders before him.

'Su Yan, what are the cultivation of the sect master and vice sect master?', Tang Feng asked, his gaze fully on the elders.

, Su Yan said, causing Tang Feng's eyes to glow as he carefully observed the two elders, making sure his intentions weren't obvious, but they were.

When the doors closed, the gazes of Bai Zhang and Shen Zhu slowly shifted back to Tang Feng, causing his lips to purse and his eyes to go bloodshot.

Tang Feng felt like he was about to suffocate under the presence of the two powerhouses.

Shen Zhu released his pressure while Bai Zhang sent a mental attack to Tang Feng's subconscious, causing Tang Feng to stagger back a few steps, and go down on his knees spitting out a mouthful of blood, with some still trickling down his lips.

Su Yan activated the mental barrier surrounding Tang Feng's consciousness preventive Tang Feng's knowledge sea from being damaged.

"Senior, what do you mean?" Tang Feng said trying his best to resist the immense pressure from the sect master.

"Luo Zeng, you dared to hurt Muo'er," Shen Zhu said, his voice coated with rage as it echoed across the room, but despite the situation Tang Feng was in, he still managed to get on his feet, noticing that the sect master's voice was weaker than the vice sect master.

'Earlier, Su Yan said both of them were in the celestial realm middle and final stage, I'm guessing that the vice sect master is the one in the final stage, while the sect master is in the middle stage,' Tang Feng thought.

This caused his lips to go up in a smirk.

"What's so funny?" Shen Zhu asked, starting to get furious, while Bai Zhang kept trying to penetrate Tang Feng's knowledge sea.

"Something's wrong," he said, clearly seeing that Tang Feng is not an ordinary man, so he withdrew his attack.

"Bai Zhang, what are you doing?" Shen Zhu said, outraged.

"Calm down, sect master. I just found out something about this kid," Bai Zhang said subtly through waves, glancing at Tang Feng as he spoke, before turning back to Shen Zhu.

"For now, let's let him go, and continue to observe him."

Shen Zhu wasn't willing to let Tang Feng go, but reluctantly did so.

"Alright. Little brat, consider yourself lucky that you get to keep your life a little longer. But rest assured, I will surely avenge my son," he said.

"Seniors, I didn't bully the young master, I was only defending my sister from that bastard," Tang Feng said after the pressure had been erased, leaving him gasping for air.

Shen Zhu popped a vessel when he heard what Tang Feng said about his son, but Bai Zhang touched his shoulder, which made him realize himself and calmed down.

"If two seniors have nothing else to say, then I'll take my leave," Tang Feng said, bowing slightly and turning to leave.

"You should be careful with yourself outside of the sect," Bai Zhang said softly.

Tang Feng turned his head over his shoulder, "Thank you senior for the warning," he said and walked out of the great hall like someone who had prevailed over a losing battle, exuding a confidence unbecoming of a mere guard.
