After more than a month of nurturing, Zetton II had finally matured. Balt pressed the switch, and the massive incubation chamber opened.
He could barely contain his excitement, eager to show his master the power of Zetton. This was his perfect creation, something that could truly kill an Ultraman. Years ago, the original Ultraman stood powerless against Zetton, unable to defeat it despite using every trick in his arsenal. Now, his newly cultivated Zetton II possessed even more formidable and flawless abilities than the first-generation Zetton, with attributes superior in every aspect.
The incubation chamber opened, and a black-and-white creature crawled out. The yellow crystal on its face shimmered continuously.
"Hmm, Balt! How do I control Zetton II?" Rhodes asked as he looked at the creature before him.
This Zetton was essentially a bulkier version of the original Zetton, but its increased size had enhanced its defenses and hand-to-hand combat capabilities, all without compromising its speed.
"Hahaha! Master! Zetton II has already absorbed your DNA. You are its master, and you can command it in battle. Whatever order you give, it will obey," Balt explained.
"Alright then! Zetton, take a couple of steps forward!" Rhodes commanded.
"Zet...ton!" Zetton II stepped out of the massive incubation chamber, taking two steps before stopping in place and looking at Rhodes.
Rhodes proceeded to issue various commands, such as punching, standing still, and using its teleportation skill. He even had Zetton II activate its energy barrier. Zetton II followed every command flawlessly, proving to be completely obedient and ready for action.
"Not bad. It's quite obedient. How do I carry it? Should we store it in a Monster Capsule like the others?" Rhodes inquired.
"I've already thought of a storage method, Master. Look at this!" Balt took out a crystal tube-like device from in front of him and handed it to Rhodes.
"This is... Are you saying this can store Zetton?" Rhodes asked as he examined the yellow crystal tube. The handle resembled that of a gun, and when opened, it formed a launcher.
This device seemed similar to the one from the Ultraman Taiga TV series, where a wandering Alien Baltan on Earth was given a Zetton by Toregia, stored in a similar container.
"That's correct, Master! Normally, Zetton can be stored inside this. When you need it, you simply open the launcher and release Zetton. It's very compact and easy to carry," Balt explained.
"Master, if you thought we Baltans didn't have a portable storage solution for Zetton, you've underestimated us. We're among the brightest minds in the universe, and creating technology to store massive bio-weapons like this is child's play. Otherwise, do you think we'd be flying around in spaceships, transporting Zettons everywhere?"
"So, this can only store Zetton? Why didn't you tell me sooner? We could've made this earlier and stored all my monsters!" Rhodes said, a bit exasperated.
"This device isn't as versatile as you think, Master. Do you see the yellow crystal on top? This portable Zetton storage launcher is specifically designed for Zetton and cannot accommodate other cosmic monsters. Monster Capsules, on the other hand, can store almost any creature, shrinking them down for storage. This device is only compatible with Zetton, not other monsters," Balt clarified.
If it could store all monsters, its value would be astronomical. Unfortunately, this device was exclusively for Zetton.
"I see. I misunderstood you, Balt. You've done well," Rhodes nodded, using the Zetton launcher in his hand to store Zetton II. He then clipped the device to his waist.
Once he got outside, he planned to test Zetton's combat prowess and see how it fared against Daram or the Ace Killer in a one-on-one battle. Since this was an artificially created monster, Rhodes couldn't use his usual methods to enhance its abilities, which was a slight drawback.
"I'll take this Zetton with me. What are your plans for the remaining two incubation chambers?" Rhodes asked.
"Master, I plan to use one chamber to cultivate another Zetton II. As for the other chamber, I want to create a synthetic Super Beast," Balt replied.
Over the past few months, he had been studying the notebooks of the Yapool aliens. Now, it was time to move forward with the cultivation of Super Beasts. Of course, this was limited to fusing ordinary monsters, cosmic monsters, and Earth monsters. He still couldn't incorporate abstract elements like interdimensional energy, violins, mummies, or snow into his creations.
This matter involves the Ultra Beast synthesis device of the Yapools and their core secrets as interdimensional beings.
"I approve this. What kind of Ultra Beast do you plan to create? Are you going to use the formulas from the Yapool notebook directly?" Rhodes nodded and asked.
Compared to Zetton, Ultra Beasts are also a type of perfect biological weapon. Moreover, the adaptability and flexibility of Ultra Beasts are far greater than those of Zetton.
Creating Ultra Beasts can also perfectly explain the origins of the monsters under one's command, as they are all biological weapons.
"Master! I would like to apply for some materials next. Please allow me to freely extract the genes of those giant monsters," Balt said.
"I approve of this. In the future, if I summon new monsters, I also grant you permission to extract their genes. Do you have any specific ideas?" Rhodes asked.
"Master, at this stage, I plan to fuse the genes of Miclas and Red King to create an Ultra Beast. Both of them are powerful monsters. Red King's brute strength, combined with Miclas's strength, will surely result in an even stronger force.
Additionally, Red King's aggressive nature can compensate for Miclas's timid personality. I also plan to add a long-range heat ray ability.
If this Ultra Beast can be successfully developed, it will be perfect," Balt explained.
This was a carefully considered decision. Red King and Miclas are highly compatible.
Rhodes nodded at these words. The fusion of Miclas and Red King would indeed complement and enhance each other.
"The idea of fusing Red King and Miclas's genes is excellent. You might also want to try fusing Golza and Melba. These two monsters are also quite compatible," Rhodes suggested.
Should these two monsters undergo an Ultra Beast fusion experiment, it might directly result in the creation of Golba.
"Master! From the perspective of a biologist, there is no need to fuse Golza and Melba. Forcing the fusion would only give Golza the ability to fly, which is not particularly useful. It wouldn't significantly improve its combat power, and it might even become a burden.
Golza's abilities are already excellent in every aspect. Adding flying abilities would require reducing Golza's weight, which would weaken its close combat abilities and defense. Furthermore, Melba's genes don't offer any enhancements for survival in space.
If we must choose a fusion partner, Golza and Bemstar would be a perfect match," Balt reasoned after some thought.
In terms of compatibility, Bemstar's mass, cosmic flight ability, and energy absorption capacity are highly suited to Golza. As for Melba, it wouldn't significantly improve Golza's combat abilities.
"Haha, as expected from an expert. Let's go with your plan: combine Red King with Miclas and Golza with Bemstar," Rhodes said with a nod. After chatting with Balt for a while, he left.
He was genuinely excited to see the results of these experiments. What kind of monsters would result from the fusion of Red King and Miclas, or Golza and Bemstar?
In the laboratory on the eighth floor, Zett was busy. His primary tasks were to create a mobile suit for Rhodes or assist in Balt's lab by working on Zetton-related data.
Zett was already working on a single mobile combat suit.
"Master, you're here," Zett said, setting down their tools and approaching Rhodes.
"Carry on with your work. I'm just here to check on your progress."
"Master, your mobile combat suit will take some more time to complete. The special interdimensional metal from the Yapool that we're using has excellent performance and can perfectly adapt to your physique," Zett explained.
"I've brought you some new materials this time: regenerative metal," Rhodes said, handing over some of the newly acquired regenerative metal and explaining its properties.
"I've heard of this special metal, Master. It's the same material used by the Dark Emperor to create the unmatched robot warrior Inpelaizer. This metal is indeed very useful and can automatically repair the armor.
However, if we use this metal, we won't be able to use the Yapool interdimensional metal. How about I make two combat suits for you? One using the Yapool metal and the other using the regenerative metal," Zett suggested.
Both metals were excellent materials, but combining them would require significant engineering work. The best approach would be to create them separately for now.
"Alright, let's do it your way," Rhodes agreed before leaving Zett's lab.
He then visited Salome's lab. This lab was relatively quiet. To create a mechanical Ultra Warrior, one would need an empire-level top-tier forging world. For now, Salome's main task was modifying the Space Marine power armor, which was a fairly relaxed job.
After chatting with Salome for a bit, Rhodes left.
