Chapter 57 - Monster Hunter world

"Hm? A Forging Hall… or a forging room?"

He Yiming raised an eyebrow in surprise before stepping into the chariot.

As expected, a new chamber had appeared inside. When he walked in, his eyes immediately swept across the room. Iron anvils stood beside sturdy worktables, while hammers, hacksaws, and various forging tools were neatly arranged along the walls.

The setup was simple, but it contained all the basic infrastructure needed for forging. If he could find a skilled blacksmith in this cultivation world, it might even be possible to create spirit weapons here.

As for the players…

After thinking for a moment, He Yiming opened the system interface and sent out a notice to the players who had been responsible for crafting homemade weapons and armor.

Ding!

[Good news! The chariot has unlocked a new feature: the Forging Room!

All players may freely use the tools inside to process materials and forge weapons and equipment.]

The moment the announcement appeared, the crafting players were stunned.

Then chaos erupted.

"There are so many tools!"

"With this setup I can finally throw away all my garbage tools!"

"Hahaha! Now I can actually make something decent!"

The players who enjoyed crafting were instantly fired up. Until now, they had managed to produce only crude equipment, bone spears, bone daggers, bone armor, fur coats, and similar items. But without proper tools, everything they made was rough and fragile. Most of it broke after just a few uses, practically turning their gear into disposable items.

But now things were different.

The appearance of the Forging Room had opened an entirely new door.

"Quick! Move all those bones in here I'm going to build a giant weapon!"

"There's even a furnace! If we can find iron ore and smelt it, we'll be able to forge iron weapons!"

"Some of these tools are almost as good as modern ones!"

Excitement spread like wildfire. Players immediately got to work, and even those who had logged off saw the notification through their virtual helmets and quickly logged back in.

Watching the lively scene unfold, He Yiming nodded slightly.

"With proper tools, the quality of their equipment should improve greatly. Their progress will likely speed up as well."

Satisfied, he turned and headed back to his room.

After all, he had spent the entire night fighting personally holding the line against wave after wave of monsters. Naturally, he was exhausted.

Among the enemies were thirty or forty beasts in the late stage of the Spirit Vein Realm, not to mention countless others in the middle and early stages.

Flipping his palm, a formation disk appeared in his hand.

It was the Spirit Gathering Array rewarded by the system. He had brought it along from the sect.

"Activate."

In an instant, dense spiritual energy gathered around him.

He Yiming sat cross-legged and closed his eyes. Streams of spiritual energy flowed into his body, circulating through his meridians and nourishing him again and again.

Half a day passed in the blink of an eye.

When the sun rose high in the sky, He Yiming slowly opened his eyes.

After a period of cultivation and rest, the fatigue from the previous night had completely disappeared. His entire body felt refreshed.

"I wonder what those players are doing now… Why are they all online?"

Curious, he stood up and stepped outside.

The moment he exited the chariot—

He froze.

"We've got three sword users here! Looking for support!"

"Recruiting one more swordsman! Once we've got four, we're heading out!"

"Archers wanted! Our team has Frost Arrow support!"

"Blazing Mad Bull armor! Last two sets available!"

"Black Panther leather quivers! Stylish, cool, and a must-have for archers!"

"The Star Squad is leaving soon! We still need two Eight Gates users who can open at least two gates to stabilize the melee line!"

The entire camp had turned into a bustling marketplace.

Almost every player was wearing heavy armor, most of it made from monster bones. Though the polishing was crude, the armor itself was solid and provided impressive physical defense.

Nearby, two players stood chatting while carrying enormous bone greatswords.

"Damn… why is yours longer than mine?"

"Hahaha! Mine's made from a crocodile spine it's three meters long!"

"My two-meter sword suddenly feels tiny… Nope, I need to upgrade to a three-meter one too!"

Feeling dissatisfied with his "short" two-meter blade, the player immediately ran off to forge a larger one.

Elsewhere, some players wore lighter armor made from animal skins. Their gear was far more flexible, but each of them carried massive bone bows measuring two or even three meters in length.

A few others were busy operating rotating grills, skillfully roasting monster meat over open flames.

Watching the scene unfold, He Yiming's expression turned strange.

The entire camp looked eerily familiar.

It felt exactly like the hunting hubs from the game Monster Hunter he used to play before transmigrating.

"…Seriously?"

He glanced at the chariot, then back at the players.

"So giving them a forging room just turned the cultivation world into Monster Hunter?"

He Yiming fell silent.

After thinking for a moment, he decided to observe first. These weapons made from monster bones, teeth, and fur were still far inferior to true spirit weapons. At best, they could only be considered sturdy mortal weapons.

Could they really use such equipment to hunt monsters in the Hundred Thousand Mountains?

Curious, He Yiming stepped onto his flying sword and silently followed a squad of great-sword players into the dense forest.

"ROOOAR!"

Not long after entering the forest, the group encountered a savage bull beast.

He Yiming's expression changed slightly.

"A mid-stage Spirit Vein Realm beast?"

Based on their cultivation levels, the four players should have stood no chance. He Yiming was already preparing to intervene.

But then—

"MOOO!"

The savage beast locked onto one of the players, its eyes blazing red.

That player was only at the seventh stage of the Body Forging Realm. Even wearing bone armor, he shouldn't have been able to withstand the charge.

Yet what happened next completely stunned He Yiming.
