Samantha stood in the middle of the empty room, holding a black business card in her hand, her body trembling as she stared at the name. Darian Zephyr. Everyone knew who Darian Zephyr was. Everyone in the country knew the name Darian Zephyr. Who wouldn't?
He was king Greig Zephyr's illegitimate son. Any anyone would think he would flaunt that around but on his own, he was more dangerous than even the legitimate royal children themselves. He was a multi billionaire with with connections with other countries and almost on the same level as King Greig in terms of power.
That was the person she had run into and had demanded she follow him to an even this friday to pay him back for the clothes she ruined. Was it good luck or bad luck?
Samantha looked down at her tray to see the tip he had dropped. A bundle of cash. Chills ran up her spine as she gulped, tucking the card neatly in her pocket. She tried gaining her composure as she stepped out of the room, running straight into the manager.
"Did you do something wrong? The guest you are to serve just left after a few minutes of stepping in." He asked with a frown. For some reason, since the incident the other day, he had been unusually angry at her.
The club was almost shut down for the missing set of people who he had pushed towards her but since nothing was traced back to the club, they had to leave the club. And deep down, he blamed Samantha.
"H-he said he had something urgent come up. He just had the new mix wine and left." She responded quickly, holding on to the money he had given her like it was her life. She was yet to put it in her pocket before she ran into him.
"Give that here." he demanded, reaching out to get the cash.
"This is my tip for serving him…"
"You didn't serve him long enough so give the cash here." He snarled, snatching the money from her and pulling out a few notes, tossing it to her. "You don't rip off the club by earning as much as we do from a customer."
Samantha trembled as she watched him walk away. She couldn't say a word and just got to her knees to pick up the cash that was all over the floor. She wanted to return it to Darian but now, it remained all this. "At least it can pay for uncle's bills and I won't feel guilty now."
She soon clocked out of work and the place she headed to immediately was the hospital. Getting out of the cab, she walked into the hospital rummaging through her bag while trying to steady the small fruit basket she held also.
Not looking at where she was going, she bumped into someone, the fruit basket in her hand almost spilling to the ground but it was caught just in time by a lady. She was dressed in a white lab coat that one could tell she was a doctor.
"Oh my goodness, I am so sorry." Samantha bowed apologetically as she received basket from the lady. The lady ignored her and just walked past her, making Samantha whimper slightly before heading into the hospital.
"Isn't that the girl Darian brought over to Theodore's hospital the other day?" another lady materialized beside her out of think air. "My eyes do not lie."
"Just mind your business, Marvin." The first lady responded, slipping into the car. "We might be Theodore's sisters but Darian wouldn't hesitate to severe our heads if we get in his way."
"How cold." Marvin mumbled as she got into the car next to her sister. "But say, Marcella, Darian really is interested in her?"
"Why don't you ask him yourself? I'm too busy with this switching hospitals of a thing I'm quitting…'
"What? You can't quit now…"
Samantha soon got to her uncle's room. Just as expected, he was already asleep. And it was intentional. It has been a while since she met him awake. Everytime she saw him smile at her, the guilt ate her up. He spent all his time working to raise her despite his poor health and was always in and out of the hospital. When his body finally broke down, he was unable to leave the hospital again.
This made Sonya hate her and maltreatment her even more than she usually does. Dropping the fruit basket with a small note, a sad smile appeared on her lips. "Take care, uncle." She whispered before stepping out of the hospital.
Her hand slipped into her pocket, slightly grazing the card in it. "Let's just pay him back with this and focus on paying uncle's bills, shall we?"
