Tony left with a dark expression.
He was in a terrible mood.
To put it simply, he had been provoked by Noah-that bastard-only to realize in the end that Noah had just been teasing him.
Not only did Noah refuse to give him any concrete or complete information, he also didn't hesitate to leave Tony behind.
How could Tony possibly accept that?
The most infuriating part was that Noah's reasoning left Tony with no way to argue back.
Because it was true.
No one could take Tony along.
Noah needed the Ancient One's help.
Thor and Loki needed Odin's help-and they still had to convince him first.
As for Tony?
The strongest wizard he knew was Noah.
And if Noah himself couldn't do it, what chance did Tony have?
So Tony left with a scowl.
But that didn't mean he was without ideas.
He hadn't forgotten about Pym particles.
The Quantum Realm.
Time travel.
All of it.
That only strengthened his determination to go back and thoroughly study Pym particles.
If necessary, he could even shamelessly cooperate with Hank Pym.
What?
Hank Pym had a grudge against the Stark family?
That was his father's problem.
Howard Stark.
Not Tony Stark.
If there was a grudge, it wasn't with him.
So what was Tony worried about?
Noah had no idea what Tony was thinking.
And even if he did, he wouldn't care.
Tony didn't have coordinates.
Without them, how could he possibly find Noah and the others?
Even if he crossed into a parallel universe, the odds of ending up in the same place were slim.
More importantly, their methods were completely different.
If nothing unexpected happened, Noah and Thor would open a portal with supernatural power and step through.
Tony, on the other hand, would need to build a machine.
Then shrink to the quantum level using Pym particles.
Then traverse.
The difference was enormous.
The time gap alone would be enough to frustrate Tony.
So Noah didn't pay it any further attention.
After Tony left, Noah returned to his usual routine.
When he had free time, he went on dates with Hermione.
Other times, he traveled with Ms. Haifin.
Or focused on teaching Lily and Wanda.
For some reason, Ms. Haifin had recently developed a fondness for traveling.
It caught Noah off guard.
But he was happy to accompany her.
Staying in the Sanctum all the time really did make one feel stale.
More importantly, traveling brought inspiration.
"If I find a good place, I can bring Hermione next time."
And Noah wasn't joking.
He really did find some interesting locations.
For Noah, who had been under constant tension, these trips were rare moments of relaxation.
The same went for Ms. Haifin.
Of course, Noah didn't neglect Lily and Wanda's training.
The two girls' relationship had inexplicably become very good.
Teaching them together had become much easier.
Sometimes, Noah even let Lily guide Wanda.
Lily's strength was approaching the seventh rank.
That was terrifying for her age.
Some people even called her the second Noah Finnell.
But Lily never let it go to her head.
She worked harder than ever.
As for Wanda-
She was doing very well too.
She had reached around the fifth tier without relying on bursts of power.
Her foundation was simply too good.
What Noah needed to do was guide that power out and stabilize it.
Now, Wanda's main task was reading.
A lot.
Just like Noah back at Hogwarts.
Except her "Hogwarts" was the system space.
Of course, reading alone wasn't enough.
She needed real combat experience to adapt.
Lily was her best opponent.
Wanda had never won.
Not even once.
Even when Lily held back.
But her progress was obvious.
That was the value of practice.
She had basically adapted to life here.
As for the Sanctum's internal affairs, Noah no longer needed to worry much.
Dennis was doing an excellent job.
He showed solid talent and control.
It was no wonder he became the London Sanctum's guardian in the original timeline.
With him around, Noah felt at ease.
Even Wong highly approved of him.
That also meant Dennis suddenly became extremely busy.
Internal affairs.
External affairs.
Everything.
Yet Noah could tell-
Dennis enjoyed it.
And his magic level had risen quickly.
Sixth Rank.
Ninth Level.
The same as Lily.
Strictly speaking, his talent was inferior to Lily's.
But his growth was steady.
He had already passed the Journeyman Mage assessment.
He was even preparing for the Archmage assessment before entering the seventh rank.
Whether he could reach the seventh rank was still uncertain.
That realm wasn't something one stepped into casually.
Seventh-rank mages were already high-level existences.
There weren't many on Earth.
Noah never believed everyone around him could reach that level.
He was realistic.
If they succeeded, great.
If not, that was fine too.
Without realizing it, time slipped into 2016.
It passed quickly.
Noah didn't dwell on it.
During this period of superhero explosions, he knew he would be busy.
For example-
Stephen Strange.
BD-1 had been monitoring him.
And recently, Strange really had broken his hands.
No surprise there.
The next step was obvious.
He would search desperately for a cure.
Then, when all hope was gone-though it was more accurate to say "arranged"-he would meet Jonathan Pangborn.
A mage who had recovered his body.
After that, Strange would journey to Kamar-Taj.
Seeking something beyond medicine.
But for now, none of that involved Noah.
After several months of relative calm, Noah suddenly received a message from the Ancient One.
That forced him to stop what he was doing and head to Kamar-Taj.
"What is it?"
"Strange?"
Noah hadn't visited Kamar-Taj in a while.
So he didn't know why she wanted to see him.
But guessing wasn't difficult.
After thinking about it, Strange seemed the most likely reason.
In the blink of an eye, Noah traveled from the New York Sanctum to Kamar-Taj.
If it had been urgent, he could've appeared directly at the Ancient One's residence.
But clearly, it wasn't.
So he followed procedure and arrived at the teleportation array.
After greeting the stationed mages, Noah walked to the Ancient One's quarters.
He knocked gently.
The door opened.
Noah entered.
"Teacher."
He bowed respectfully.
Then he frowned.
Something felt different.
He couldn't quite describe it.
The Ancient One seemed calmer.
More... ordinary.
That thought puzzled Noah.
She had always been approachable, but calling her "ordinary" felt wrong.
All mages carried a distinct aura.
Something unmistakable.
"Noah."
The Ancient One smiled.
"Sit."
"There are a few things I want to ask you."
"Of course."
Noah sat down, accepting the tea she handed him.
"With honey," she said calmly.
"Just like before."
She poured herself a cup.
"By the way, I've recently noticed a promising prospect."
"No-actually, I noticed him a long time ago."
"He's run into some trouble lately. He may consider joining us."
"What do you think?"
"If he's promising, then we should teach him properly."
Noah smiled.
Inside, he was already certain.
Strange.
BD-1 had just reported his injury.
And now this.
But Noah didn't mind.
Strange's talent was exceptional.
Almost absurd.
His arrival would elevate Earth's magical circle.
"That's good."
The Ancient One nodded.
"Then I'll leave him to you."
"Pfft-"
Noah nearly spat out his tea.
Leave him to me?
He looked up, completely confused.
"Teacher, leave him to me?"
"Aren't you going to teach him personally?"
"Of course not."
She spoke naturally.
"You are the future Sorcerer Supreme."
"But I should warn you."
"He has a bad temper."
"And he's arrogant."
"You'll need to handle that."
How could he not be arrogant?
Strange was a double Ph.D.
Still, Noah couldn't understand why she would hand him over.
Was his future junior going to become his disciple?
Noah wanted to ask.
But she didn't give him the chance.
"By the way," she added calmly.
"How are your preparations for that trip?"
"???"
