Chapter 27 - Chapter 26 - Newfound Strength

After integrating all the elements below the blue threshold, Vorrak immediately noticed a considerable decline in his physical abilities. At that moment, Laussa arrived with Odin, who appeared intrigued by the situation.

"Vorrak, my friend, I've heard what my daughter has claimed. I am willing to entertain this idea, but I need to verify its truth. If you assert that Laussa can rapidly grow stronger using your technique, I'd like to give it a try as well," Odin remarked. As the King of Asgard, he understood the importance of maintaining the strength necessary to defend against any potential dangers.

Cautiously, Odin resolved to put aside his pride and evaluate the strength promised by Vorrak. However, he first needed to ascertain its legitimacy.

Being the cornerstone of Asgard and the embodiment of the Odinforce, his power was crucial. The more potent he became, the more formidable the Odinforce would grow.

"I assure you that you will be pleased with the outcome. Now, Laussa, this could be a defining moment in your life. Are you ready to proceed? Just know—this may alter your brain chemistry to resemble mine. It's a minor concern if you practice meditation and manage your emotions effectively," Vorrak warned Laussa. For a brief moment, her expression faltered before her enthusiasm returned.

"Absolutely! If I can become stronger, I'll be capable of defending Asgard alongside my father, mother, and brothers!" Laussa exclaimed eagerly. Her eyes shone with a fiery red glow, her power surging alongside her heightened emotions, whether joy or anger.

Much like Thor, whose eyes emitted a blue glow while channeling his strength, Laussa radiated an impressive fiery aura. Her golden-red hair resembled living flames, her eyes glowed resembling embers, and her veins pulsed with warmth. A flickering flame enveloped her enchanted armor and robes, leaving smoldering traces of heat with every step she took.

"Very well, this will be a swift process." Without any hesitation, Vorrak transformed into his slime form and attached himself to Laussa's body. She was initially startled but quickly regained her composure, permitting him to continue.

Sensing that she offered no resistance, Vorrak proceeded with the bonding. Upon entering Laussa's body, he experienced an overwhelming burning sensation. However, his enhanced adaptability—amplified sixfold—and robust natural resistance enabled him to swiftly manage the heat.

Meanwhile, Laussa was aware of the foreign entity within her but stayed silent, unwilling to disturb Vorrak's efforts.

After successfully navigating the initial phase, Vorrak expanded throughout Laussa's body, examining and bonding with every part of her nerves, muscles, and bones.

With his heightened intellect, Vorrak's brain processed information more swiftly and retained it with greater efficiency. As he focused on each aspect of Laussa, he examined the distinct composition of an Asgardian. Being the second Asgardian and the first royal he had formed a bond with, Vorrak quickly recognized the significant disparities between them and humans.

While Asgardians and humans possess similar physical structures, their DNA is inherently different, likely influenced by the Odinforce and faith energy that Vorrak sensed upon entering Asgard. Sensitive to various energies, including Dimensional and Universal Energy, he identified two specific types within Asgardians: dark magic and faith energy, both of which flowed continuously.

Faith energy, which is produced by worship across the universe, permeated Asgard, because figures like Odin, Thor, and Loki are widely honored, especially as legends on Earth. This energy enhanced Odin's strength, allowing him to convert it into Odinforce.

In contrast, dark magic is a powerful and intricate form of sorcery utilized by witches and mystics. Asgardians, having engaged with magic for thousands of years, did not view it as an enigmatic force but rather as an advanced science that is deeply embedded in all living beings.

This is the reason Asgardians are significantly more advanced than humans in many facets.

Having thoroughly studied the human body, Vorrak recognized its complexity. However, the bodies of Asgardians were strikingly different—their DNA was far more elaborate than that of humans.

Vorrak documented everything he observed in Laussa before moving forward with her enhancement. He understood that once he modified her body, those changes would be permanent.

"Are you prepared, Laussa? I can't promise it won't be painful, but I can deactivate your pain receptors so that you'll only experience discomfort," Vorrak said, awaiting her response.

"Go ahead, Vorrak. I trust you," Laussa responded resolutely, clenching her teeth in anticipation.

Odin observed from a distance, maintaining a calm demeanor, although his eyes revealed a blend of concern and eagerness—feelings that Vorrak failed to notice as he remained focused on his task.

'This will mark my first use of Devourer's Genesis and Dominion. Despite its name, "Devourer" also serves another purpose—it can mutate biomass. I could even change Laussa's appearance if I wished to. However, my goal here is to make her stronger,' Vorrak thought, instructing himself to activate Devourer's Genesis, a skill he obtained with the upgrade of his symbiote entry.

A dark crimson mist enveloped Laussa's body as Vorrak activated his unique ability, altering her genes to enhance her strength and resilience. Simultaneously, her command over fire grew stronger, transforming her bright red flames into dark, fiery crimson ones that emanated a powerful energy.

As the transformation progressed, Laussa was surrounded by a pillar of dark crimson fire. She let out a grunt of discomfort, prompting Odin to instinctively move closer, poised to intervene. Yet he hesitated, sensing the immense power radiating from her.

The level of strength she displayed now was far beyond what it had been prior to her transformation. A subtle yet unmistakable aura of danger surrounded her, making it clear to Odin that Vorrak had successfully fortified Laussa.

Since Vorrak had formed a bond with her, his own strength had also increased. His control over fire had become equal to or possibly more potent than hers. Being a royal offspring of Odin, Laussa had a natural strength of approximately 80 tons.

Although she wasn't particularly physically strong, her true power lay in her mystical flames. While her direct strength was modest compared to other Asgardians, it was still significantly greater than that of an ordinary human. With the enhancement of Vorrak's symbiotic bond, his initial limitation of 5% had dramatically risen to 50%.

This meant he had absorbed 50% of Laussa's strength, elevating his original capacity from 357.5 kg to an impressive 40.3575 tons.

Additionally, after bonding with another warrior during the festival, he had taken on an extra 20 tons of strength, further amplifying his overall power.

Now, Vorrak was capable of lifting 50 tons—this was his base strength before any multipliers were applied.

Once his task was accomplished, Vorrak detached from Laussa's body. As he did, Odin placed a hand on his shoulder and burst into laughter, his jubilant voice resonating through the garden.

"You continue to astonish me, Vorrak. Asgard is fortunate to have you. The speed with which you can enhance anyone's strength is remarkable," Odin exclaimed with glee. It was the most joyous he had felt since marrying Frigga and becoming a father. Now, he was experiencing that happiness again, thanks to Vorrak's incredible gift.

"Now that you've witnessed what I can do, would you care to give it a try as well?" Vorrak inquired with a gentle smile, although internally, he was laughing heartily, reminiscent of a certain engineer from another world.

"Absolutely! I would love to!" Odin declared, spreading his arms wide to embrace this unparalleled opportunity. Without hesitation, Vorrak entered Odin's body, diligently examining his structure.

Instantly, Vorrak felt another immense surge in strength. With Odin possessing a strength of 100 million tons, Vorrak absorbed half, gaining an extraordinary 50 million tons. However, what thrilled him the most was not merely the power but the extensive knowledge Odin carried from thousands of years of experience.

Odin had existed for an extensive period, leading to a profound comprehension of the universe, particularly the Nine Realms, where he acted as a peacekeeper. Vorrak eagerly anticipated forming connections with both Heimdall and Frigga. Heimdall possessed an expansive repository of memories of the universe, able to perceive every aspect of the Nine Realms, while Frigga excelled in Asgardian magic. She had imparted her knowledge to Loki and was also a significant power within the royal family. The thought of acquiring their wisdom filled Vorrak with excitement.

He observed Odin and Laussa as they immersed themselves in their newfound abilities, concentrating on solidifying their powers.

"It must be nice to have your abilities grow," disrupted a moment of focus. Loki emerged from behind a tree, his expression inscrutable. Vorrak had anticipated his arrival, sensing Loki's presence from the beginning. This Loki was distinctly different from the one depicted in movies—more calculating, his mind woven with complex plots. Mature and poised, he had the ability to manipulate others for his own benefit. Familiar with Loki's tendencies, Vorrak maintained a sense of caution. Though he may not have possessed the strength to confront him, Loki remained a threat in other respects.

"Do you wish to be like them? I can help you achieve that, but I'll need you to do something for me." Vorrak turned to Loki, grinning broadly. Fortunately, Odin and Laussa were lost in their thoughts, otherwise they might have detected the glimmer of ambition in Vorrak's expression.

Loki returned the smile with a nod. "If it means gaining power equal to my father's, I would do anything you ask, provided it's within my abilities."

Vorrak nodded and swiftly formed a connection with Loki. However, he did not hesitate to implant a safeguard in Loki's mind—a precaution to prevent potential betrayal. As he delved into Loki's memories, he stumbled upon an unexpected revelation.

This version of Loki did not exhibit the inferiority complex of his alternate self. He was more mature and refrained from engaging in childish pranks on Thor. Instead, he showcased loyalty to Frigga and Odin, embodying a calculated and patient nature in his meticulous planning.

Yet, despite all his careful strategies, Loki had neglected one vital aspect—Vorrak could perceive everything within his mind, laying all of his schemes bare before him.
