Two weeks later...
Aaron and almost every other first-year student have no idea what is happening out in the world. It was the same for the second-year students as well.
On one side, there are cults that have increased their attacks for unknown reasons over the past few weeks, but the intensity has multiplied significantly in the past two weeks.
The reason, the fall of Last Bastion.
Monsters destroyed the fort. Though there were efforts made to rebuild the fort, it was slow due to the monsters which are on a rampage from that day. The attacks from monsters increased everywhere.
This is something that the alliance can't keep a secret, no matter what. Just like the alliance, the cults have their own think tanks and diviners who can interpret information, even if it is partial.
They easily found out that there are monster horde attacks everywhere. It was not just the large horde that destroyed the last bastion, but there were many small-scale attacks in many places.
