(Elyzara POV)
The sun was unusually bright that morning, hanging high in the sky like a perfect golden coin. I squinted against its rays, shielding my eyes with the back of my hand as I looked out at the horizon. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore was oddly soothing, and for the first time in what felt like forever, I felt... at peace. The kind of peace that didn't come with the usual weight of uncertainty pressing down on me, the kind that came with a simple day of rest.
It was a rare Saturday off. The weekend was here, and for once, there were no secret missions, no dangerous rebels hiding in shadows, and no more murals depicting me and Velka fighting side by side in some ancient battle. Just a day to breathe, to relax, and most importantly get away from the mess of the last few weeks.
