Ramos shot a sword slash that seemed to cut apart the entire world. The air split and a long arc of terrifying sword light tore across the sky. The clouds trembled and the ground cracked beneath the pressure. Everyone who was watching felt their hearts drop, as if the world itself was about to be divided into two.
But just as the slash reached the Archangel of War, a crimson mist emerged and whirled around her like boiling blood. The mist twisted and started to coagulate. It turned thicker and darker until it formed a very small orb. It was only the size of a closed fist, yet it pulsed with an overwhelming destructive force. She pointed that orb at the massive arc of Ramos's sword.
For a moment, everything froze. The orb touched the sword light.
A horrific blast shook the entire place. The world flashed white for an instant and then a shockwave burst outward. Buildings collapsed and the ground split open. Ears rang and many soldiers fell on their knees from the pressure.
