The Capital.
A thick, dark veil hung over the capital, as if a strange and ominous entity watched over it. Strange howls echoed frequently.
Everywhere was filled with ominous energy, and the temperature dropped into a dangerous zone.
In the distance, the governor's mansion had been razed to the ground. Smoke and the thick stench of blood permeated the air.
Marks of battles were scattered everywhere. The grand mansion had long lost its grandeur.
Walking carelessly inside the ruins, disciples dressed in purple robes carried various corpses out of the mansion.
"Why are we wasting these bodies? We can refine them to increase our body essence," one of the disciples muttered.
"Ignorant fool! Do you think we're waiting for the bodies to decompose?" another replied.
"The ancients must have a reason for us not to use the bodies."
"Right. Right."
