Chapter 73 - Chapter 73: The Assault

In the ranks of the Weimons army.

Two soldiers stood near the military tent, their expressions serious but their ears were perked up.

Before long, the sounds of intense combat erupted from within the tent, causing the two soldiers to listen intently, their breathing heavy.

After more than five minutes, the noise subsided.

The two soldiers exchanged a glance, remained silent, and stepped back a bit.

Soldier A: "The knight commander is getting faster and faster."

Soldier B: "I vaguely remember that Lord Weimons used to be a very upright person. He ate and lived with us, shared blessings and hardships, but now... sigh..."

Soldier A: "If the black dragon suddenly attacks the camp now, I fear the knight commander won't be able to command the troops."

Soldier B: "Don't worry, that black dragon was pulled down by our hooks last time. To protect that Half-Elf, it took dozens of sword strikes, and after breaking free from the hooks, it got hit by several Fireball spells. Who knows where it's licking its wounds now."

Soldier A: "That's true. I'm going to take a leak; keep an eye out."

"Go, go, just don't reward yourself too much. You pee so much at night; it's a sign of kidney deficiency."

"Screw you!"

Soldier A cursed with a smile, loosened his pants, and left the camp, heading to a large tree not far from the ranks. He took a deep breath, satisfaction written on his face.

Before he could finish relieving himself, a furry hand covered his mouth.

"Mmm?"

Soldier A looked horrified, unable to make a sound before being dragged into the woods with a "whoosh."

Grey Wolf and Green Wolf used crusty, smelly boxer shorts to gag the soldier's mouth and tied him to a tree.

The black dragon master said to always be cautious.

The intelligence gathered by Bird Demon Leader Ji Taimei might not be entirely accurate. To obtain real information, they needed to capture a human and pry open his mouth.

So, this was a very fortunate human soldier.

Grey Wolf: "Now, we'll talk."

Green Wolf: "You, answer."

Grey Wolf: "If you don't speak."

Green Wolf: "You'll not only die but also eat shit!"

The soldier, looking at the two overly muscular gnolls in terror, nodded.

Although the Continental Common Language spoken by these two gnolls was a bit convoluted, he managed to understand.

"Good."

Green Wolf put on gloves, opened the small leather pouch at his waist, showed the soldier some torture tools, and then asked fiercely:

"Tell me, how many humans are there? Any ambushes? What are you doing in the Silvermoon Forest?"

"Mmm!"

"Slap—"

Grey Wolf slapped the soldier across the face, baring his fangs, his eyes fierce.

"Why aren't you speaking!"

"Mmm!"

The soldier's face swelled, his ears ringing, tears of grievance running down his ears.

Just as Grey Wolf was about to slap him again, Green Wolf noticed the problem. After Grey Wolf finished the second slap, he reminded:

"His mouth is stuffed; he can't speak."

"So that's it!"

Grey Wolf suddenly realized and appreciatively patted Green Wolf's shoulder, praising:

"Green Wolf, you're really smart."

Green Wolf: "(¬_¬)?"

However, they couldn't just leave the soldier's mouth open; otherwise, he might call for help.

Grey Wolf pondered for a moment and said to the soldier:

"Now, I'll ask. Nod for yes, shake for no, understand?"

The soldier immediately nodded tearfully.

"Are there more than two thousand of you?"

The soldier nodded.

"Any ambushes?"

The soldier shook his head.

"Are you going to attack the Silvermoon Forest?"

The soldier thought for a moment. To fight the black dragon, they would have to attack the Silvermoon Forest, so he nodded again.

"Do you poop solid or liquid?"

The soldier was bewildered.

...

After a round of questioning, Grey Wolf and Green Wolf mercifully gave the soldier a quick death, then returned to the nearby monster army to report to the black dragon.

Grey Wolf: "Boss, we caught a soldier."

Green Wolf: "Got real intelligence!"

"Can you two stop talking one sentence at a time? Just let one of you speak!"

Su Nian looked helplessly at the two silly gnolls.

He seriously suspected that these two gnolls had been breeding Stinky Bug Dung all day and got stupid from the fumes, always acting dumb.

Grey Wolf and Green Wolf felt a bit wronged. They just wanted to have a fair chance to show themselves in front of the boss since they were brothers born from the same mother.

But since it was the black dragon boss's request, the older Grey Wolf stepped forward and said:

"Report, boss."

"Humans, two thousand, no ambushes, usually poop solid, in rain, poop liquid."

Su Nian listened to the first two sentences, which matched the Bird Demon Leader's findings, but what did pooping solid or liquid mean?

Did this intelligence have any significance?

He was a bit confused but didn't say anything. It was normal for his subordinates to have some peculiar hobbies. As the boss, the most important thing was to have a tolerant heart.

After waiting a bit longer.

"Rustle—"

Bolikri the Kobold emerged from the bushes, respectfully reporting:

"Master, the traps are set, covering all possible human retreat routes, ensuring they step into five traps with every step."

"Very good!"

Su Nian nodded his dragon head in satisfaction.

"You kobolds have low combat power and few numbers now."

"So, during the battle, just ambush nearby."

"Anna, there are many human archers. Later..."

"No, Anna wants to be with brother."

Anna's adorable peach blossom eyes looked at Su Nian with determination, clinging tightly to his neck.

"I'll only be gone for a while, just half an hour, no, at most ten minutes..."

Su Nian tried to persuade her, as it was too dangerous outside.

"No, Anna wants to be with brother!"

To her, every moment with her brother was precious.

Even if it was extremely dangerous outside.

Anna's tone grew firmer, her soft hands holding tighter, tears even forming at the corners of her eyes, as if she would cry if Su Nian didn't agree.

"Alright, alright."

Su Nian sighed helplessly, placing Anna on his back, wrapping her securely in animal skin, leaving only half of her small head exposed.

Later, he would just need to fly a bit higher. With the strength of his scales now, human archers weren't much of a threat.

Besides, didn't he have so many subordinates?

They were the main force of the attack; he just needed to breathe a few Dragon Breaths to give the human army a headache.

With this thought, Su Nian didn't hesitate any longer. He double-checked Anna's security, then let out a deafening roar:

"All monsters, heed my command! Attack!"

Then he took to the sky.

Flying towards the direction of the human army. """
