Meili didn't even realize when he had touched her, his right hand dropped to her small waist only to pull her forward harshly and she gasped. Achelous took the initiative to capture her lips with his, she stared with wide eyes as he deepened the kiss, stealing her breath away. Their thread glowed more when their bodies met and she moaned softly, light enough for no human to hear. His cold lips sent a shiver down her spine and she arched her back with him squeezing her waist possessiveness taken over him and she unconsciously sucked him hard, enough to make him break the kiss…..
He stepped back and stared at her with wide eyes that dissipated as quickly as it came.
Meili looked red with her heart still pounding, what just happened!
What's happened was not clearly noticed as the people were busy cheering and clapping, the king was happy at least she got married and with what he knew, the Watergod was not going to kill her, not when she was his mate.
Meili returned back to her room to rest because she was feeling sick, her face paled even more when she saw her room empty, her things were packed already.
She sat down after taking off the veil from her hair, pulling her knees to her chest she cried out, her sobs filled the room while the music played in the ballroom, hearing their lively conversations passing by her room, showing how how they were enjoying while she was in pain. " there you are! What are you doing all alone here dear? You should be at your wedding celebration…..what's wrong dear?" Oprah came to her when she saw the girl shivering and she hugged her. " I - I don't feel well… nanny…..I don't like this, how can I survive?" She asked Oprah and she rubbed her back softly.
" You are the strongest person I have ever known and seen my dear, you are stronger than you think…..now let me help you out of your dress it must be suffocating " Oprah helped her up and opened the zipper on her back, opened a few buttons before the dress came down. Meili sighed when she felt the lace on her corset being loosed, she stared at her tired body that had red marks due to the corset and the gown that fitted her like a second skin only to her waist and the rest long and free.
" Sire! Are you okay…. "
Achelous laid on the floor, he was not dead nor was he unconscious, he was sweating and finding it difficult to breathe, the man in blue bent down and helped him to sit down, " you are burning up, I should call your wife—
" Y- you will do no such thing!" He warned and groaned, he moved his fingers through his long hair and tried to heal himself, forgetting he could not heal himself in the first place because it was full moon and he was supposed to be with his mate, the mating bond demanding and he was not ready to give, he had to return back to his room because he was feeling sick _ she did this to him and was no where near his bedroom!
" Do you like this set of clothes dear?" Oprah asked the lost girl the second time and she turned to her, " I just want to sleep nanny, please something easy and comfortable" Meili said when she saw the red dress that looked like a dinner wear, she just knew it would fit her perfectly or worse, turn into another skin on her body, probably more to show case her curves…..
" Have you forgotten what today is? You got married in fact you're a married woman who has to be with her husband…..it's your first night—
" Nanny please…..I don't want any of this, I'm feeling sick and want to retire early " Meili said again with difficulty as she stood up and went to her closet, she took out her favorite lime colored nightgown and turned to look at the woman, who shook her head. " The king himself had picked this dress for you, my lady" Oprah said and the girl frowned and foddered her arms over her chest. " If you want help me wear it then that's fine " she said before she tried wearing the nightgown on her own and climbed into her bed, covering herself with the quilt and turned her back to Oprah who only sighed.' When would she grow up'….
Meili jotted up from sleep when she felt something cold hit her, she found another lady in blue staring at her. " You slept alone! I now see the reason….we're leaving " she said to Meili who was confused and still sat on her bed, " what is going on?" Meili asked her and stopped, " you should get up princess, we don't have your time!" The lady said angrily before she left the room. Meili went out of her room and was hit by the coldness, she shivered and closed the door again, her room was so warm that she sighed rubbing her arms, she grabbed her winter strawl and covered herself before going out again.
The whole place was cold practically freezing more than the previous day, the floors were cold and no one was in sight. It was still dark with the moon bright in the sky, she could see the walls being covered with ice as she walked through the halls, what happened to her palace and were was everyone! It was like a spell had been cast on the palace, her eyes widened when she saw outside the palace, seems like the spell was cast upon the land itself.
" My lady, please we need to leave" another lady in blue spoke hurriedly as she grabbed her arm and started walking her towards the carriage with speed and Meili couldn't break free from her grip because she was strong, unlike the other lady who came to her room, she had a golden brown hair braided in one behind her back and she also showed respect. She opened the carriage door and helped Meili to get in and closed it when the girl entered, there he was, seated on the other side of the carriage with his head bent, his whole aura was strong and his appearance….
Meili sat down when she felt the carriage move and cornered herself on the other side, she couldn't stop herself from looking at him, he was looking paler than usual and he didn't say a word nor did he look up at her. Was he okay? Worry was evident on her face yet she didn't say anything, the blue thread on her wrist glowed along side his own and its warmth had increased causing her to touch it and caressed it softly, sending sparks to his body and he raised his head, he rested his head on the carriage wall behind him still with his eyes closed and he sighed before looking at her.
