The mystical tortoise harbored resentment, ultimately withering away in melancholy. Its massive body and vast mana, tainted by its grudge, slowly transformed into a pervading miasma that enveloped a large portion of the Northern Continent, persisting through the years.
Since then, the already barren Northern Continent had become a treacherous land, also the prime choice for exiling the tribes of witches and demons.
Unexpectedly, as time passed, people discovered that the poisonous miasma of the Northern Continent had given rise to numerous venomous insects and toxic plants, thereby becoming a breeding ground for many rare and exotic flowers and fruits.
To this day, although the Northern Continent still remains inhospitable for ordinary beings, it is no longer barren and has even been said to show signs of an alternative revival!
Though the mystical tortoise has fallen, its legacy continues to benefit all living beings.
