Yu Yuan stepped into the Three Star Cave beneath the slanting moon, feeling a long-missed sense of warmth and peace. Butterflies danced between rock walls, Lingzhi mushrooms layered upon the cliffs, waterfalls flowed like silk, and streams babbled.
At the entrance, an old man with a kind face wearing a pine-colored Daoist robe and carrying a smile greeted him; it was the Bodhi Ancestor.
"Pay my respects to the Ancestor." Yu Yuan slightly bowed, a sincere gratitude showing in his demeanor.
Bodhi Ancestor nodded slightly, his smile like the spring sunlight, radiating infinite warmth, "Yu Yuan, you have come through great difficulties unscathed, surely a blessing lies ahead. Come, let's talk inside."
The two sat opposite each other by a stone table inside the cave, Yu Yuan briefly shared what he had encountered on his journey.
Of course, most things were not to be shared with him.
After all, they were not that close.
Bodhi Ancestor understood this well and did not mind.
