"Ji" refers to the leader of all grains, vital for the nourishment of life, hence the character "Ji" can be translated as "under the heavens." "Shang," meaning high, captures the essence of supremacy. Jishang, therefore, signifies supremacy over the under heavens.
The so-called Jishang Academy symbolizes a scholarly palace of the highest standing above all.
This Jishang Academy here is revered across the entire True Confucian Origin Realm as the holy sanctuary in the heart of every Confucian disciple. The palace gathers scholars with the highest cultivation, profound knowledge, and virtuous demeanor from all over the realm, and even the venerated ancestor who founded this realm, Kong Yuan, never leaves and perpetually resides here!
