Daoist Jieyin and Daoist Zhunti heard these words but did not continue to speak; instead, they fell into silence.
Emperor Fengdu and Lady Ping Xin looked calmly at the two Western Saints, not in a hurry, silently waiting.
"Two Daoist friends, please consider carefully."
Emperor Fengdu spoke again.
Daoist Jieyin looked at Emperor Fengdu's serene face but felt a very intense sense of threat.
Buddhist disciples accumulate merit mostly through repairing the Western Primordial's ley lines; part of it is for the disciples' own merit, and another part belongs to the Buddhist merit.
Or rather, when Daoist Jieyin and Daoist Zhunti accept living beings into Buddhism, they naturally enjoy part of the merit due to imparting sacred teachings to their disciples.
Likewise, if disciples do something that damages merit, Daoist Jieyin and Daoist Zhunti are likewise implicated.
