The Buddha here is just a title, and those who can achieve it surely possess great resolve and wisdom. But as wise beings, constrained by their experiences, how could they be devoid of such emotions?

Unless truly in a state of Nirvana.

Even the Heavenly Dao of the Primordial favors the Immortals who contribute to its development.

Perhaps only the everlasting Great Dao is without emotion.

Maitreya's discontent with Old Li is simple; firstly, Old Li's cultivation is low, and secondly, he believes the current Buddhist Sect has taken over resources that belonged to the Western Sect's disciples.

Of course, despite the displeasure, Maitreya would not act excessively because opposing Old Li is tantamount to opposing his teacher, whom he greatly respects.
