Dante, Lexa and Vexion stood in front of a massive space, a terminal that pointed directions towards which voidship took to which area.
It also had people who worked as employees, they looked ordinary, simple workers who assisted students and walked around making sure no trouble occurred.
Dante could help but wonder 'Are there people who would be dumb enough to plant bombs in these voidships?' His thought simply came because these vigiliant yet calm security or assiatnt employees whatever you wanted to call them felt like they were here for that purpose.
After the three asked one of the assistant how to navigate this huge place , they were told which direction to go to pay using AP to acquire a ticket that led to the combat Territory mountains.
Dante found the rules quite troublesome. Something he honestly wished he could just bypass. Dante felt annoyed when he found out how expensive it was to take the public voidships. An entire 3 thousand AP points.
Apparently it was also on discount. Because they were still provisional students. That meant they would spend a total of 6 thousand individually.
Dante couldn't help but feel like the academy was simply petty. How pricey were they to travel if one does apply this provisional student discount ? Double?
'tsk' Dante was soothed by Vexion who's soft curvy hips bumped into him as she looked around the terminal with curiosity.
His hand moved to give her ass a gentle squeeze. Causing her to let out a soft giggle. She was aware of her surroundings so she allowed the hand of her Master to touch her.
She wasn't weak enough to be groped unknowingly. Her combat instincts allowed her even passive awareness of all things around her.
She leaned in smiling as she lost interest in the terminal the moment Dante followed Lexa who had at some point asked which of the dozens of humongous void ships led to the Northen Mountains, the Combat territory.
Soon they entered and inside the void ships were as massive as the outside.
The public voidships were different from the highest class of international void ships. Soon Dante, Lexa and Vexion sat a four seat block.
Lexa sat across Dante as she looked around occasionally resting her eyes on the beautiful skies that they were passing by occasionally.
Vexion was more annoyed that the seats were so large that she couldn't really rest her head on Dante's shoulder. Soon Dante got bored and closed his eyes for a nap.
Vexion watched her master fall into a sleep with a cute smile, she admired him quietly.
She did this all the time when he was sleeping sometimes when he was awake. 'Master really became my everything'.
Lexa who noticed this from the corner of her eyes couldn't help but smile. Her relationship with Vexion was entirely built on Dante.
He served as the glue that could keep any and everyone afloat. That was the strength and the image she had of him.
However she knew equally so, betrayal or becoming useless to Dante would make Vexion equally look at her differently.
The beginning of their relationship always sat as a quiet reminder of that. She was fierce and completely uncaring.
Vexion only liked her in so much as she was usefull , loyal and most importantly doing it all so willingly to serve Dante. However as she improved, grew stronger and Dante saw her usefulness.
Although Lexa hadn't been given any actually true missions by Dante besides menial tasks, some including killing of Nobles in his own empire whom he found annoying or simply bothered him.
She hadn't actually done anything big.
Tomorrow would be her first role as a proper subordinates.
Her master hadn't even explained how strong Elric was , only that he was decent. To Dante that could mean he was perhaps 4 or five levels below her or at best 2. She however according to Dante's estimates was capable of taking on opponents 7 levels stronger then her comfortably.
If she was straining herself they would have to be maybe 8 or 9 levels stronger.
At the same time what they had learned in Skill theory could overturn that.
That was also why Dante wanted this fight between Lexa and Elric.
Lexa turned to Vexion.
"Vexion".
Vexion with a hint of annoyance from being disturbed from her quiet admiration of her master turned
"Hmm".
Lexa asked "Would you call us friends"
Vexion frowned putting her finger on her chin....
"If Master orders me to kill you I'd do it, Id be annoyed that he lost a good subordinate , however it wouldn't really make me sad.
Just annoyed that Id have to do more tasks and spend less time tending to master. So maybe I don't want you gone, I like you in that sense , so.... maybe?"
Lexa's mouth turned upside as she shook her head"Why did I even bother??"
Vexion couldn't really understand Lexa's expression. Vexion had her ambitions and desires but, the mere fact she could have all those was because of her Master.
When she was just his subordinates, she was already joyful. Everyday,
Now she was his number 1 , his right hand .
And they shared passionate nights together. Each time they did all she felt was the desire to live a long life next to him.
So Vexion struggled to understand why Lexa asked that question, and her response to it. Her eyes turned dark as she asked .
"Let me ask you Lexa, if Master demands you kill a future subordinate he takes in, suppose you fall in love with one. Do you mean to tell me because of "friendship" or "romance" you'd disobey?"
Lexa felt a formless pressure against her chest. Vexion words were calm but she could clearly understand the point of her question.
Lexa let a awkward chuckle "Ofocurse not, I simply wanted to understand our relationship, nothing more. Id never betray Master…You know this."
Vexion noticed the determination in her eyes, 'Good'.
"That's good. I don't mind us being friends, nor do I care if you happen to find something you treasure. But… if master ever suffers, even a slight loss due to that, my advice would be to cut of anything that could cause that."
"Without fail, or I myself will. Usefulness is the key. We can be wahtever you want , best friends , close friends, but it all hinges on How useful you are you to Master."
Lexa nodded as she looked at the sword on her hip. Internally she thought 'My loyalty to Master is not something I would joke about myself. Seems Vexion's obsession is not just loyalty but true obsession. My loyalty in face of that would naturally look just 'very good'.
Nonetheless, I can wield this blade 100 times more better than I could before I became Master's subordinate, I have a great debt to pay to say even less on the fact his empire spared mine'
