Chapter 204 - Phase 1

Candidate Tier: Mythical Tier / Legendary Tier

Phase Duration: Three Weeks

Current Status: Active

Phase Objective:

Explore the examination territory, encounter fellow candidates, complete assigned objectives, accumulate Academy Points, and survive.

The examination territory has been divided into multiple regions.

Candidates will begin from different locations throughout the territory. Each candidate will receive a personalized map through their Academy Bracelet.

The Academy Bracelet will provide general directions toward relevant objectives. However, it will not reveal every detail of the territory.

Candidates are expected to explore independently.

CORE OBJECTIVE ONE

Directional Exploration

Candidates must locate and reach five designated areas positioned in different directions from their initial starting location.

Each designated area contains an Academy Watchtower.

Upon reaching a Watchtower, the candidate must place their Academy Bracelet against the designated interface.

Successful registration will confirm the location and award Academy Points.

Requirements:

Locate all five designated areas. Successfully register at all five Academy Watchtowers. Each location may only be registered once. The Academy Bracelet will provide a general direction toward each designated area. Candidates are responsible for navigating the territory and reaching the locations independently.

Minimum Requirement: Complete all five designated locations.

Minimum Points: 500

Maximum Objective Points: -

Additional exploration beyond the required locations may provide further opportunities to obtain Academy Points.

CORE OBJECTIVE TWO

Meet Your Fellow Candidates

Candidates must encounter a designated number of fellow students throughout the examination territory.

Physical interaction is not required.

A candidate will be considered to have met another student when they enter the required proximity of that individual.

The Academy Bracelet will automatically record the encounter.

Candidates are not required to speak, cooperate, fight, or exchange information.

Mythical-Tier Candidate Requirements:

Encounter 100 Legendary-tier candidates. [100Encounter 20 Mythical-tier candidates.5 points per Legendary-tier student

100 × 5 = 500 points35 points per Mythical-tier student

20 × 35 = 700 points

Legendary-Tier Candidate Requirements:

Encounter 120 Legendary-tier candidates. Encounter 10 Mythical-tier candidates.5 points per Legendary-tier student

100 × 5 = 500 points 70 points per Mythical-tier student

10 × 70 = 700 points

Minimum Points:1200

The Academy Bracelet will monitor every registered encounter.

Meeting the same candidate repeatedly will not provide additional progress.

Only previously unregistered candidates will count toward the objective.

The bracelet may provide general information regarding the location of candidates required for this objective.

However, exact locations will not always be available.

Combat Regulations:

Combat between candidates is permitted. Mythical-tier candidates are prohibited from attacking Legendary-tier candidates. Legendary-tier candidates are prohibited from attacking Mythical-tier candidates. Violating the tier-protection regulations may result in: Loss of Academy Points. Forced interruption of combat. Intervention by an Academy Examiner. Disqualification from the Final Selection Examination.

Minimum Requirement: Meet the required number of unique candidates.

Maximum Objective Points: -

CORE OBJECTIVE THREE

Assigned Monster Elimination

Candidates must defeat designated monsters throughout the examination territory.

The Academy Bracelet will identify:

The required monster species. The required number of eliminations. The general location of designated targets. The estimated strength of each target.

Monster strength will be adjusted according to the candidate's combat ability.

The Academy will evaluate combat performance rather than the number of monsters defeated alone.

For example:

A Mythical-tier candidate whose recognized combat ability falls within Levels One through Three may receive opponents ranging from Levels One through Three.

Candidates may encounter stronger or weaker monsters during exploration.

However, defeating unrelated monsters will not necessarily contribute toward the assigned objective.

Candidates may not complete the phase through monster hunting alone.

Exceeding the required number of monster eliminations will not compensate for failing another Core Objective.

For example:

A candidate may accumulate more than 1500 points through monster elimination and still fail Phase One if the remaining Core Objectives have not been completed.

Minimum Requirement: Complete the assigned monster-elimination requirements. [1500 points]

Maximum Objective Points: -

Additional designated monster eliminations may provide further Academy Points after the minimum requirement has been fulfilled.

CORE OBJECTIVE FOUR

Acquire Points From Other Candidates

The Academy Bracelet will periodically identify candidates carrying a significant number of Academy Points.

The bracelet may provide:

The candidate's general location. Their approximate distance. Their estimated point value. Additional information when deemed necessary by the Academy.

Candidates must locate the identified individual and acquire points from them.

Points may be obtained through:

Combat

Defeat the designated candidate and claim a portion of their Academy Points.

Mythical Tier students cannot obtain points from Legendary tier students.

Diplomacy

Negotiate an agreement that results in the voluntary transfer of Academy Points.

Candidates may form temporary alliances, exchange information, offer assistance, or create agreements at their own discretion.

The Academy will not guarantee the honesty or loyalty of other candidates.

Candidates are responsible for the consequences of their decisions.

Minimum Requirement: Successfully acquire points from the required number of candidates.

Minimum Points:1000 points

Maximum Objective Points: -

The Academy recognizes both combat ability and the ability to obtain resources through intelligence, negotiation, strategy, and cooperation.

CORE OBJECTIVE FIVE

Survival

Candidates will naturally accumulate Academy Points throughout Phase One.

As a candidate's point total increases, their presence may become visible to other candidates through the Academy Bracelet.

Candidates with significant point totals may become designated targets under Core Objective Four.

Candidates may be pursued, ambushed, challenged, deceived, or attacked by other candidates.

Successfully surviving an attempt to steal or acquire your Academy Points may provide additional Academy Points.

The Academy will evaluate:

Survival ability. Situational awareness. Decision-making. Adaptability. Defensive capability. The ability to respond to hostile candidates. The ability to preserve acquired resources.

Candidates are not required to remain within one location.

Retreating from an unwinnable battle is not considered failure.

Candidates are expected to evaluate danger and act according to their abilities.

Minimum Requirement: Remain eligible until the conclusion of Phase One.

Minimum Points:800

Maximum Objective Points: -

PHASE ONE — POINT SYSTEM

Each Core Objective possesses an independent point requirement.

Completing one objective beyond its maximum point value will not compensate for failing another objective.

Candidates must satisfy the minimum requirements of all five Core Objectives to successfully complete Phase One.

Additional points earned after completing an objective will contribute toward the candidate's overall Phase One ranking.

Important Example

A candidate may earn:

3000 points through monster elimination. 0 points through exploration. 0 points through candidate encounters. 0 points through point acquisition. 0 points through survival-related evaluations.

That candidate may still fail Phase One.

High performance in one category does not replace the minimum requirements of another.
