Chapter 229 - Chapter 228: You Will Regret It

The future Tony Stark sat dejectedly on a rock.

The demon king of this world was dead.

He had experienced the feeling of being carried away by someone, and now, returning to the time when he had to struggle through everything—who could withstand it?

The future Tony irritably scratched his hair.

The Snap event was over, but the alien invasion had just begun.

This time, it might be even more dangerous.

Was he looking for the demon king's help to solve this?

But what price would he have to pay?

The Infinity Stones were already gone, and there was nothing left here that the enemy could use.

"Sigh!" Future Tony sighed deeply.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

A howling sound came from the sky.

Future Tony looked up.

A fireball was falling from the sky.

"Carol."

"Stark, where's Thanos?"

Carol landed in front of future Tony and asked.

"He's dead. You're too late. The Snap event is already over."

Future Tony rolled his eyes. The cosmic police were always late to clean things up.

"It's over, but why didn't the aliens come back? Only the Earthlings returned to life."

"Are you questioning me, Ms. Danvers?"

Tony frowned.

He was already troubled by the alien invasion, and now this idiot came asking why the aliens weren't revived.

He would rather they all stay dead.

"I'm not questioning you, Stark. Thanos wiped out half of the life, and for the last five years, the entire universe has been a mess. I've never stopped, and now I need the aliens who died five years ago to come back to restore peace in the universe."

"I know you have new Infinity Stones, hand them over. This time, I'll snap my fingers."

Carol extended her hand, her eyes filled with determination.

"Have you ever thought that Earth has been in chaos for the last five years as well, and yet you, being an Earthling, are protecting those aliens?"

Future Tony's gaze towards her was filled with disgust.

He pointed outward, "Who doesn't have a few friends? Friends, right?"

"Sitting crooked is a betrayal."

"Earth has you, but the aliens need my strength more."

Carol didn't feel like she was wrong at all.

Earth still had the Avengers.

But those aliens only had her, and without her help, countless aliens would be slaughtered, dying, and going extinct. This was her responsibility.

It was also the balance of the universe.

"What if I don't give it to you?"

"You will."

Carol's body began to release cosmic energy.

She didn't mind using some brute force.

The scorching heat made Tony's face turn red.

The commotion quickly attracted the attention of others.

"Hey, calm down."

Thor naturally stepped in front of future Tony, though he wasn't wearing his armor.

"We've been comrades before. Let's talk this over."

Future Captain America approached future Tony's side.

"Stay away from Tony."

Future Pepper stepped up behind Carol, the barrel of her gun aimed at the back of Carol's head.

"Uh, Mr. Stark, where's your armor?"

Dutch Spider's hairs stood on end.

Carol paid no attention to the increasing number of people around her and continued to stare firmly at future Tony.

Future Tony didn't say a word.

The demon king's side watched the scene from afar. The universe was quite interesting—no enemies left, and yet they could still fight among themselves.

Just then, a loud roaring sound suddenly came from the sky. Everyone looked up, only to see a massive plane rapidly diving toward the ground.

With a violent gust of wind, the plane landed smoothly on a nearby open space.

A black figure slowly appeared.

"Danvers, the Infinity Stones are over there. Go get them."

Nick Fury pointed toward the distant warship.

Carol immediately flew in that direction.

"Thor, stop her!"

Thor nodded and swung Mjolnir as he chased after her.

"Nick Fury, what are you doing? That's the reward we promised to the demon king."

Future Tony and Future Captain America spoke up.

"That was your deal, and you even brought him to this world and gave him all six Infinity Stones, basically abandoning the safety of the entire world."

"We must take the stones back."

Nick Fury's expression grew serious.

"You will regret this, Nick Fury."

Future Tony said.

"I'll regret not getting the Infinity Stones."

On the warship, Pamela used her abilities to carefully create a flower blanket and gently placed it over Kino.

Venom stood by, lightly stroking Kino's small bald head.

"Venom, don't mess around, you'll wake up my dear."

Pamela whispered.

"Don't worry, he's deep asleep."

Venom continued her actions. Perhaps they should just let him keep his bald head.

Kino had already fallen asleep on Pamela's lap.

Thud.

Carol landed in front of the three, quickly scanning the scene, confirming that Kino was indeed the one who had been put to sleep.

"Wake up, and give me the Infinity Stones..."

"Go away!"

Venom blocked Kino's ears with her biofield, ensuring he remained peacefully asleep.

Carol's face darkened.

Thor had caught up, his expression tense.

"Carol, stop. You're no match for her."

"I'll have to beat her before we see about that."

Carol wasn't someone who took advice easily.

She reached out to grab Kino.

Venom stared at her hand.

"Can't you understand words?"

"What?"

Carol hadn't figured out what she meant by that.

Before Carol could react, the woman in front of her vanished, and Carol's body suddenly went limp, collapsing to the ground.

"What's going on?"

"Ah…"

Carol felt confused, as something seemed to pour out of her mouth.

Looking down, her pupils trembled.

A pool of blood had appeared beneath her body, and blood was pouring out from her limbs and mouth.

Her limbs had disappeared without a trace, leaving smooth, severed stumps.

Blood continued to pour out.

Carol stared at the terrifying scene, as if time had frozen at that moment.

After a long time, the intense pain from her severed limbs finally snapped her back to reality.

The bone-deep agony made her open her mouth to scream, but all that came out was a faint, unclear wail.

"Ugh…"

Carol groaned in pain, her mouth wide open, revealing her dark, empty throat.

At this moment, her tongue had been mercilessly severed, leaving her only able to make incomprehensible sounds.

"Shut up."

Venom kicked her away, sending a ball of flesh flying toward the people below.

"Thud!"

Thor swallowed nervously, staring at the small Venom in shock.

In the blink of an eye, Carol's limbs and tongue had been severed.

"You have business too?"

Venom turned her gaze toward another unwelcome guest.

"No, no. I'm leaving now."

Thor stammered, not even bothering to swing his hammer. He was about to jump off the warship.

He just wanted to get as far away from this woman as possible, as quickly as possible.

"Wait."

Thor froze in place, not daring to turn his head.

"What... what is it?"

"Take these with you, and tell them, if aliens show up on Earth, ask Black Egg."

Venom kicked Carol's severed limbs toward Thor.

"Okay."
