Chapter 244 - Chapter 243: Yggdrasil

The combined power of the five Supreme Gods' Fate Forces focused on the time node of October 27, 2010, and began breaking through the time blockade together.

Chino watched curiously as the five Supreme Gods' expressions turned serious.

After a long while, the time node finally loosened.

The five Supreme Gods seized the opportunity and entered.

As soon as they arrived, a voice was heard.

"It's you all."

In the next second, the five Supreme Gods sitting in front of Chino trembled.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

With several loud crashes, the bodies of the five Supreme Gods instantly exploded, leaving not even a trace of ash.

The darkness retreated, and everyone reappeared in Asgard.

Everyone stood frozen in shock, gazing at their new God King.

"He's so powerful, our God King! He killed them in an instant."

"Yeah, and they were five gods even stronger than Odin!"

"I knew it, our God King must have used an invisible killing strike to defeat them."

"So amazing! Long live the God King!"

"God King..."

Everyone raised their weapons and swung them in rhythm, showing their strength and loyalty.

Odin also smiled slightly, relaxing.

"Supreme Mage, your recommendation for a God King truly was powerful. He has done what was once thought impossible."

The three Fate Goddesses were also stunned, looking at Chino in awe and kneeling before him in submission.

Hel, having stored her weapon, looked at Chino with deep respect in her eyes.

She knew that this man's strength was beyond measure, far beyond what she could imagine.

Chino glanced at the vanished five Supreme Gods, feeling a bit regretful inside.

What a waste. If he had known, he would have tricked them into signing a contract.

Five multiverse-level powerful beings just gone like that.

Who would have thought that they would be so fragile? He just asked them to check something, and they exploded immediately.

But he was even more curious about what they saw.

The Supreme Gods were multiverse-level existences, nearly at the top of the Marvel Universe. They were conceptual, abstract, and incredibly powerful beings.

Death was almost a foreign concept to them.

Did they encounter Lucifer on the way?

Whiz! Whiz! Whiz! Whiz! Whiz!

Five spherical objects descended from the sky, and Chino reached out to catch them, inspecting them closely.

"Asgard?"

No, it should be countless reincarnations—the energy from Asgard absorbed by the Supreme Gods.

All the gods present felt their hearts skip a beat, including Odin and Hel. They all gazed at the five spheres with eager eyes.

The energy resonated, and just by consuming these spheres, they might break through their current limits and become gods without any limitations to life.

However, when they met their God King's gaze, they instantly felt as though they had been doused with cold water. They calmed down immediately and slowly averted their gazes.

Chino didn't comment, as part of the energy in those spheres was originally the source of these gods' power. It was simply the nature of life.

But now that it was in his hands, it naturally belonged to him.

Asgard soon began celebrating with a grand feast.

Hel watched Chino's retreating figure, her eyes glinting with something strange.

Meanwhile, Chino, led by Odin, arrived at Asgard's treasure vault.

The Icebox, the Life Plate, the Eye of Agamotto, Eternal Flame, the (Fake) Infinity Gauntlet…

And many more treasures and artifacts that never appeared in the comics.

"These are all mine now."

"Yes, God King."

Odin's face held a long-lost smile. The long-time worries were now gone, and Asgard was intact, with no children lost.

It was far better than the future he had seen.

His mood was incredibly relaxed.

"Then, I won't be polite."

Chino waved his hand, collecting all the treasures.

Odin stared at the empty vault, the smile on his face freezing.

"Alright, take me to the Rune Magic and the Well of Mimir."

As Chino finished speaking, the scene before them changed, and they arrived in a red world.

Before them stood a massive tree, its colossal canopy sprawling toward the sky. Three thick roots spread from the bottom, reaching deep into different realms, each with its own unique texture.

"The World Tree, Yggdrasil."

Odin caught a falling leaf, now wilted.

"It's dying."

Chapter 243: Yggdrasil (2/2)

Since Chino became the God King, he was able to form a connection with the World Tree, and this world was nearing its death.

"Yes, this World Tree is the only place unaffected by Ragnarok, but the endless cycles of reincarnation have been impacting the tree," Odin said, his tone tinged with sadness as he gazed at the old companion.

Chino pondered for a moment and then switched to Pamela's power.

"Hello, Chino."

The voice was soft, like a kind mother.

"Yggdrasil, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"I feel the same, Chino."

Odin, watching Chino communicate with the World Tree, was astonished and stared wide-eyed.

He had never communicated with the World Tree, only sensing its state and receiving its energy support. He had always believed the tree lacked consciousness.

"Yggdrasil, would you like to make a deal with me?"

"Sure."

"…You're not going to ask what kind of deal it is?"

Chino was taken aback. The tree didn't even ask about the deal.

"No need. I'm glad you ended Ragnarok. If I can help you before I die, I will be pleased."

Chino paused for a moment, a bit uncomfortable as he scratched the back of his head.

Such pure goodwill was something he wasn't used to.

"I want to designate someone as your agent, allowing them to use your powers, but you must not impose any tasks or missions on them. In return, I will restore your vitality and strength."

Chino took out a contract and explained in detail.

The reason he wanted to do this was because Pamela's power level was too weak, with a ceiling of at most Father-tier. Her magical talent wasn't enough.

Also, given her past experiences, she was highly averse to bodily modifications.

Chino had once considered taking the power of the Green Lantern, but he had abandoned the idea because it might come with a mission to protect nature, which was something he didn't want.

Now that he saw the World Tree, he had a new choice.

The World Tree's power was unique, containing space, time, life, and many other elements.

In the future, with the World Tree's power, Pamela could potentially reach the multiverse-level, something that was once impossible.

"Okay."

As Chino signed the contract with the World Tree, a child glowing with white light appeared before them, two ravens perched on its shoulders.

"You've come."

"Yes, I will begin the ceremony, passing Odin's power and Rune Magic to the new God King."

Odin looked at Odin's power.

Odin's power, his strongest force, was also a safeguard against Ragnarok.

In every cycle, he would leave a part of Odin's power behind before death.

"New God King, what about Ragnarok?"

Odin's power frowned, naturally concerned about the issue.

"It's over. Those sitting in the shadows are dead."

At this, Odin smiled widely.

A life controlled, an endless cycle of reincarnation, every recollection would drive one into mad rage, followed by the inevitable death under fate.

He even shared his memories with Odin's power.

"Really powerful. He killed five Supreme Gods in an instant. He's strong, but there is still a fundamental gap to the multiverse level. Even with the Infinity Gauntlet, he wouldn't be able to do that."

Odin's power was curious, filled with doubt about the new God King's strength.

"I don't know, but I don't care to ask. I'm no longer the God King."

Odin laughed heartily.

Quote:"True power lies not in the strength you wield, but in the wisdom of when to use it."
