Chapter 246 - Chapter 245: Silence

Kino stared at the rune magic in his hand.

The wisdom granted by the Well of Mimir allowed him to understand the meaning of these characters.

He saw everything.

The flow of time.

The transformation of space.

The structure of the World Tree.

It was as if all his abilities had been elevated.

He no longer needed superhuman speed to traverse time at will.

He could even travel to different parallel worlds.

I can control the parameters of this universe.

Kino was no longer satisfied with the knowledge of this world.

He wanted more.

I want to see everything...

As Kino immersed himself in the temptation of knowledge, a jade-like hand quietly emerged from the void.

Bang!

With a dull thud, Kino was sent flying, crashing into the World Tree like a kite with its string cut.

"Your Majesty Odin!"

Odin's body crackled with golden lightning, staring furiously at the hand.

Impossible, not even the gods can enter this place.

"It's alright, it's an ally."

Kino rubbed his sore head from the impact.

That was dangerous; if I had continued, I would've fused with this world like the Rune King and become a concept.

"Thank you, Lucifer."

Kino looked at the jade hand that appeared in the void.

"Kino, you're too hasty."

Lucifer did not show himself, leaving only a message before disappearing.

"Perhaps," Kino said with a wry smile, shaking his head, feeling a pang of melancholy.

I'm sorry, Kino, I didn't intend for this to happen.

Yggdrasil felt guilty; she only wanted to give her best to her friend but almost caused him harm.

"It's fine, Yggdrasil. It was my greed," Kino reassured, patting the tree root.

Fortunately, he had pulled back in time, leaving no severe side effects. He had been momentarily blinded by the allure of power and knowledge, losing sight of his true intentions.

"Your Majesty Odin, the ritual failed."

The power of Odin manifested as a humanoid light shadow and appeared before Kino.

"Not exactly, but it wasn't a success either."

Kino smiled faintly.

Though interrupted, the knowledge he had gained remained.

"Shall we proceed with the final step of the ritual, Odin's power?"

The power of Odin extended its hand.

"No need, this is enough for now. Keep Odin's power for yourselves."

Kino shook his head.

It wasn't out of courtesy.

The rune magic was enough for him to process for a long time.

After a brief pause, the Odin power nodded.

Given Kino's strength, Odin's power would have little effect on him.

"Return the power to Odin; it was originally his."

"Yes!"

The Odin power bowed slightly and entered Odin's body.

A tremendous aura exploded from Odin, golden lightning ravaging the area.

However, this force arrived swiftly and dissipated just as quickly, vanishing without a trace, as if it had never existed.

After all, this was his power, and with its return, there was no risk of it going out of control.

The two returned to Asgard's treasure vault.

"Odin, after I leave, temporarily manage Asgard. I will connect the Nine Realms in time."

After giving instructions about the upcoming matters, Kino departed.

Back at the manor.

He pushed the door open.

"I'm back."

No response.

Chapter 245: Silence (2/2)

Everyone was busy doing their own things in the hall.

Even Pamela ignored him. Kino realized the situation was serious.

Though unsure of what had happened, Kino began to cautiously test the waters.

He moved like a child sneaking around, carefully hiding behind furniture and tiptoeing into the room.

Pamela watched Kino's antics, a faint smile appearing on her lips. She looked at the forest outside the window and the strange creatures, pretending not to notice.

Kino was the first to approach Wanda, who was reading the dark god book.

"Wanda, is the master treating you well?"

Wanda stiffened, silently closed the book, took a deep breath, and then smacked her forehead.

Bang!

Wanda fainted on the spot.

Kino watched the scene for a long time in silence.

Next, he stealthily approached Gwen and asked, "Gwen, can you tell me what happened?"

Gwen shook her head with a smile in her eyes.

She made a "zip it" gesture with her finger.

"I've got this for you, the Ghost Battle Armor 2.0 version."

Kino pulled out a ring.

Though some functions weren't completed, it was far stronger than 1.0, and the energy problem would no longer occur.

Gwen was tempted but, recalling their previous agreement, firmly shook her head.

"Can you give me a hint quietly?"

Seeing Kino's cautious demeanor, Gwen thought of his majestic appearance on the light curtain and couldn't help but feel happy.

She knew that this man loved them deeply, which was why he would indulge them in these little games.

After some thought, she pointed at the ceiling.

"I understand."

Kino nodded and placed the ring on Gwen's ring finger.

"The transformation spell is the same as before."

He lightly tapped the floor, inching closer to Qin, who was writing a report on her computer.

Qin, wearing glasses and with her hair tied up, appeared to be fully focused.

But in reality, her spiritual power was tightly locked onto every move Kino made.

Kino approached Qin, trying to flatter her. "Qin, how's mom doing recently? If the house isn't comfortable, I'll get her a new villa."

Qin smiled faintly, shaking her head.

"It's fine as long as she's comfortable. I brought you a gift from my business trip. It can enhance your spiritual power."

It was the Moonlight Goddess Crown.

Found in Odin's treasure vault.

Under the moonlight, the crown absorbed mysterious power from the moon and converted it into spiritual energy, enhancing the wearer's spiritual power.

It helped women perceive the essence of things more clearly, increasing spiritual defense and protecting from mental attacks.

Qin's eyes lit up as she gazed at the beautifully crafted crown. Not only was it gorgeous, but the ability was exactly what she needed.

"Tell me quietly, has Venom transformed into a battle form?"

Kino wanted to understand how angry Venom was.

Qin nodded.

Kino's heart sank.

This is bad!

But he couldn't give up. He had to gather more intelligence.

He gently placed the crown on Qin's head, letting her hair down and removing her glasses. He couldn't help but say, "You look beautiful."

Qin blushed at the compliment and gave Kino a gentle kiss on his lips.

Kino then walked to the sofa, where the Dark Phoenix was munching on snacks.

"Dark Phoenix, why didn't you go out with Gannatha today?"

"Dgchjbhk..."

The Dark Phoenix spat out a series of bird sounds, leaving Kino confused.

What was she saying? Even the language of the Devil's Tongue couldn't be understood, and Kino could normally understand all languages from Earth.

Wait...

"Alien language?"

Kino looked at the Dark Phoenix, who nodded, and his vision blackened.

What was this ridiculous idea—one person knocks themselves out, and the other speaks in alien languages.

"Forget it, keep eating. Here, try this."

Kino handed the Dark Phoenix a life fruit.

The Dark Phoenix didn't need weapons or equipment, so Kino gave her the fruit to taste.

Anyway, it was meant for them.
