Chapter 293 - Chapter 290: Mr. Blue

In Kino's manor, the warm sun shone down as Pamela, with a calm expression, carefully watered the delicate flowers and plants while holding a spray bottle.

"Sister Pamela, when do you think Kino will return? He said he'd be gone for just a few hours, but it's already been a whole day and night." Gwen asked, a bit worried.

"I don't know either. How could he miss his dear one so quickly?" Pamela replied with a teasing smile on her lips.

"It's not that. I'm just worried something might have happened," Gwen said.

"Relax. Little Kino is so strong; there's no way anything could happen to him. Just look at how Little Red isn't worried at all," Harley said as she pulled Gwen into a hug.

"Because Venom's sister is around, no matter how long he's gone, he'll always come back here," Pamela explained with a smile.

"I really envy Venom's sister. She can always be with Kino," Dark Phoenix said, a hint of envy flashing in her eyes.

The other women also showed a brief glimpse of envy.

"Venom's race is quite unique," Jean remarked.

"Can we really not help? Even if it's for the Demon Group's assessment, a lot of people are going to die this time," Gwen asked, unable to hold back.

"It's not just an assessment. It's also preparation for humanity's official entry into the interstellar era. The solar system will be humanity's base, and some enemies are still lurking in the dark.

So, before we enter that phase, we must eliminate the remaining enemies. Otherwise, it will be a great danger to everyone in the future," Pamela said, noticing the downcast expressions on the other women. "If you want to help, you can go. I'll keep things safe here."

"But Pamela..." Gwen hesitated because since signing the contract, Pamela had never shown her full strength.

Pamela smiled gently.

Suddenly, Gwen felt a chill run through her body and instinctively jumped to the ceiling, but the next moment, she was back in her original position.

"What just happened?" The others were completely confused.

Only Dark Phoenix blinked and seemed to sense something.

"Feeling better now?" Pamela asked with a smile.

"Yeah. I'll leave now, Sister Pamela." Gwen nodded and, wearing her battle suit, flew out the door.

"Little Red, I'm going to have some fun too." Harley followed closely behind.

One by one, the other women also left for the Demon Group.

Soon, only Wanda and Pamela were left.

"Wanda, why aren't you going?" Pamela asked.

"I don't want to leave you alone, Sister Pamela. Besides, I don't like running around everywhere," Wanda curled up on the sofa, holding a magic book in her hands and spoke without looking up.

Years of wandering had long since erased her curiosity about the outside world. Now, she only had a small amount of kindness left deep in her heart. As long as those around her weren't hurt, she didn't care about anyone else.

"Good girl…" Pamela gently patted Wanda's small head.

———

Banner was flying a spaceship and quickly arrived at the place where Hulk had disappeared.

Nothing was there.

The small town that had once been marked on the map was now just a vast snowy plain, empty.

Banner retracted the warship and landed on the ground, starting to check the surrounding area.

After taking a few steps, he noticed the thickness of the snow wasn't consistent; one side was thick, while the other was soft.

Banner first conjured up a bunch of instruments and connected them to the Lantern Ring.

"Lantern Ring, scan the surrounding environment," Banner ordered as he held the Green Lantern Ring.

The Green Lantern Ring had scanning, translation, and analysis functions. The equipment that Banner created just amplified the effect to improve the precision.

Banner moved quickly and soon arrived at the location indicated by the Lantern Ring, but it was still empty, with only the howling wind and snow.

He continued moving forward and suddenly passed through what seemed like a thin membrane.

Before him stood a massive metallic structure, round in shape, like a giant flying saucer.

Its outer shell appeared to be made from a strong alloy with unique textures, and the surface was adorned with complex lines and symbols.

"A spatial distortion device... how did this end up here?" Banner exclaimed, astonished.

This was an advanced technology unique to the Kree Empire, and he had only seen related records in the alien database provided by Ganata.

Before he could think more, he was discovered by the guardians here.

Two Thors.

"Intruder, die!" they shouted, wielding large hammers and swinging them toward him.

Banner quickly flew into the air, evading the blows, his eyes darkening as he recognized the attackers.

"Gamma monsters…" he muttered.

The two Thors weren't stunned; they also flew up.

"I'm not a warrior, but a scientist has his own way of fighting."

Facing the two flying Thors, Banner remained calm.

Instantly, two giant mechanical arms materialized on both sides of him, like iron giants, with immense strength, and slammed the two Thors deep into the ground.

Next, more parts appeared out of thin air and quickly assembled into a massive green robot—the King of Kino.

"Sorry, I'm in a rush!" Banner said as the robot's arms transformed, revealing two huge cannon barrels aimed directly at the Thors.

Boom—

A three-minute barrage ensued.

The entire area was rocked by the explosions, shockwaves sweeping in all directions, dust flying everywhere.

When the smoke cleared, only two charred skeletons remained of the Thors, lying miserably on the ground.

After all, they weren't real Hulks, and even with the enhancement of the [Serpent's Tooth], they couldn't withstand such a bombardment.

"Mr. Blue, you've been watching me, right?" Banner adjusted his glasses as he looked at the massive instrument in front of him.

"How did you know? Green… no, Dr. Banner." A voice came from the device, tinged with surprise.

"Just guessed. With your fame-seeking personality, how could you not want to check your own accomplishments?" Banner replied, approaching the control panel to begin deciphering.

"Hahaha, I love fame. Doesn't that sound like you?" the voice from the device laughed.

"I never said I wasn't. I succeeded, while you… Heh," Banner mocked, a little more biting than usual.

"FK, I'm more of a genius than you. Everyone should be calling me a genius. If it weren't for that damn Demon King, I would have been the one to lead human progress. You're all accomplices!" the voice from the device suddenly became enraged.

"Oh? Your so-called progress is creating a bunch of gamma monsters? Not to criticize, but your genius seems a little overrated," Banner quipped, continuing to extract information.

"You…!" The voice on the other end cut off before finishing.

"By the way, just so you know, in the Demon Group, even the leader calls me Dr. Banner, not like you, who just does stupid things. You're a real idiot!" Banner retorted, cutting him off once again.

Suddenly, there was the sound of smashing, and then complete silence.
