Chapter 365 - Chapter 366 Kara's Resentment

Kara ignored the commotion above, only lowering her head to look at the food on the ground; she had to eat. Without nutrients, during the next blood draw or bone marrow extraction, she might die.

And she didn't want to die.

Bang!

Suddenly, the ceiling burst open, and a powerful Impact wave surged in, instantly sweeping away the pitifully small amount of food in front of Kara, as if it had never existed.

"I wonder if Clark would kill someone if he saw this."

Crack! Crack! Crack!

A flash of White light passed.

Kara turned her head to look.

Standing on the broken metal floor was a tall man.

He was wearing a black battle suit with gold patterns, clearly showing his strong muscles, and on his chest was an S made of golden stripes!

Looking at the golden S symbol, the dead eyes of Kara lit up with a faint glow, and she struggled to walk over.

"Ah… ah…"

Because she hadn't spoken for too long, Kara's throat was dry and rough, as if it had been abraded by sandpaper, making even the most basic sounds incredibly difficult.

Staggering over, she threw herself into Qinuo's arms, her hands trembling as she gently caressed the "S" symbol on Qinuo's chest, her fingertips lightly rubbing, as if confirming that everything before her was not an illusion caused by extreme weakness and longing.

"Ka… Karl… Ka… Ra… protect…"

Her voice was hoarse and unpleasant.

Qinuo looked at the woman in front of him, whose hair was like dry weeds, and whose face was as ugly as a skull, but her eyes were like a lioness looking at her cub, full of protectiveness.

"She's treating you as Clark."

"Well, obviously."

"What if you told her you weren't, and that her cousin was already Dead? What would she do?"

"She'd probably die."

Obsession is so wonderful; it can allow a child to endure more than ten years of pain and torment.

But the moment it disappears, Kara will also lose her support and thus die.

"Don't… be afraid… Kara… will… protect…"

A small hand pressed against Qinuo's hair and stroked it, Kara mimicking her mother from memory to comfort Qinuo.

Completely forgetting that someone had just crashed through layers of floor.

Forget it, I'll pretend to be her cousin for a while, and then give her back to Clark.

"Cousin, I've come to take you home."

Qinuo picked up Kara in a bridal carry; the moment he held her, she felt so light, his palm tightened, and he could feel her bones immediately.

"Home?"

Kara subconsciously wrapped her arms around Qinuo's neck, with a hint of confusion and a touch of anticipation.

This simple word, in her heart, carried too much longing and yearning; it was a distant yet incredibly warm place.

"That's right, home."

Qinuo carried her to the surface.

On the ground, a large number of heavily armed soldiers had already gathered, and various deadly weapons gleamed with a cold light in the Sun.

"Put down the woman in your arms, immediately!"

A Commander shouted, and with his command, all weapons were aimed at Qinuo in the sky, as if he would be instantly riddled with holes if he made the slightest move.

"This one is also an alien, a kin of this woman. He can fly, capture him alive, I want him alive."

An old man in a White lab coat shouted excitedly.

Qinuo ignored them, instead looking at Kara in his arms. Under the Sun's rays, her muscles gradually became full, her dry hair regained its luster, and she even slowly flew into the air, leaving Qinuo's embrace.

"Ah… ah… Karl, don't leave me!"

Kara screamed in terror, her voice filled with fear and helplessness.

She held Qinuo's neck tightly, the strength in her arms enough to snap steel.

As if only this way could she grasp this hard-won warmth and hope.

"Don't be afraid, relax, give everything to instinct."

Qinuo slowly taught her to adapt to her new abilities, and Kara slowly descended, returning to Qinuo's embrace.

This scene was clearly seen by everyone below.

"It's the Sun, the Sun is the key!"

The old man finally understood the true secret of this alien.

"Shoot them down, it doesn't matter if they live or die."

Bang!

A Rocket shot over.

Before Qinuo could even react, Kara's arms, which were wrapped around his neck, loosened.

In mid-air, she gently waved her palm, and the incoming Rocket was instantly blown apart, turning into a brilliant ball of Fire, with metal fragments raining down.

Kara's golden hair danced in the air, and red light appeared in her eyes.

"Don't touch Karl!"

Bang bang bang—

Countless bullets, Rockets, and shells engulfed Kara.

But the next second, a scorching red light shot onto the ground, sweeping over several soldiers at an extremely fast speed.

Their bodies were split into several pieces by the Heat Vision, and blood splattered.

Kara didn't stop; endless rage burned in her heart, and the Fire of revenge made her lose her mind.

She dove directly onto a tank,

The thick tank turret was crushed like paper, and the soldiers inside didn't even have time to scream before they were crushed into a bloody pulp by this terrifying force.

Immediately after, Kara's figure flashed, and she appeared in front of a group of soldiers who were frantically firing assault rifles; the bullets couldn't even leave a mark on her skin.

Boom!

She clapped her hands, and a powerful Impact wave spread out from her center.

The soldiers were like fallen leaves caught in a strong wind, flying backward and crashing into the surrounding buildings with dull thuds.

For a moment, cries and screams intertwined.

Some soldiers chose to drop their guns and flee; it was impossible to defeat such a monster.

But Kara chased after them, letting no one escape.

"This… how is this possible!"

The old man in the White lab coat watched the scene before him with both terror and excitement.

Terror because the woman who had allowed them to draw her blood and experiment on her for the past few years had become so powerful after less than a minute in the Sun.

Excitement because if he could survive, would injecting the blood from the laboratory also grant him such powerful strength?

Thinking these thoughts, the old man did not flee like the other soldiers but chose to return to the laboratory.

"Quick, launch the missiles, you must stop her!"

The Commander old man screamed hysterically.

With his command, several surface-to-air missiles, trailing long plumes of Fire, shot towards Kara.

Seeing this, Kara's lips curved slightly upward, revealing a disdainful sneer; she understood that the humans before her were weak.

She stomped her feet on the ground, and her entire body rushed towards the missiles at an even faster speed.

To everyone's astonishment, she actually grabbed two missiles with her bare hands, then, with a powerful swing, sent them back the way they came.

"Boom! Boom!" Two loud explosions, the missile launch vehicles were blown sky-high by their own missiles, with Fire soaring and debris flying everywhere.

Kara turned in the air and looked at the old man in the White lab coat, then dashed and landed in front of him.

The old man in the White lab coat was so frightened that he collapsed to the ground, his legs weak, and his crotch wet.

"No, don't kill me, I was wrong, I was wrong!" he cried hoarsely, his face filled with terror.

"Everything you did to me, you will pay the price."

There was no emotion in Kara's voice, and the scorching red light in her eyes shot out again.

Bang!

With a dull thud, the old man's headless body fell straight to the ground, blood gushing from his neck like a fountain, rapidly spreading across the ground, forming a shocking pool of blood.

Kara then turned her gaze to the remaining people, disappearing from her spot, and began a Carnage.

If at first she only acted because those people attacked Qinuo, now, the resentment accumulated for more than ten years in her heart completely erupted; she wanted to wash away the pain she had suffered with the blood of these people.
